Chanel 10 here in Adelaide are still showing the Port vs West Coast match. I will watch the Suns game when they show it.

Has redeemed himself with a better 2nd qtr.

Absolutely no usual bock runs out of defence though!

Ease up, he's playing with a bunch of kids and it's being dumped time and time again down in the Blues' forward line. Anyone would look like a fish out of the water in those conditions.

That said, we didn't need him anymore. It was becoming clear that he was past his best and he was holding back the development of Davis. We also have solid KP depth. It wouldn't have hurt nearly as much as Thompson leaving, which was rumoured at one point.

I'm hoping guys like Tex are watching this and get an idea that it won't be all beer and skittles if you defect to these new franchises just for the cash.

If GC are 1-11 at the halfway mark, I'd be telling my manager to seek out a new 3 year contract.

why should he ease up? he was a guy made to look better than he was by getting the latitude to be an unaccountable CHB.

in a young team, his job is to do more dirty work.

I support Bock's decision to do what's best for him, but equally I don't support all the people who thought he was a different beast to what he has always been.

A joke of a game. Carlton were having a training drill. But Gold Coast are inexpreienced. I reckon Us, Hawthorn and Collingwood would have beaten them by 200 pooints.

That's because he knew that the ball would be back in Carlton's forward 50 within 20 seconds of getting it out of there.

Bock, Gablett and others learnt the hard lesson that in footy you are what others around you make you/allow you to be.
Let's hope the lesson is not lost on Tex or any other of our blokes that might be considering the $$$ over success trip.
If things pan out as I think they wll for the two new franchises over the next two to three years, then those that chased the big bucks may have regrets.

Ditto. I was thinking almost exactly the same thing. Also thinking about which teams they could actually look decent against. Richmond and Sydney came to mind. Not about quality of team, but about style of play. Richmond and Sydney structures would enable Gold Coast to get a bit of a look-in.

Wonder if anyone who has already signed with GWS was watching that last night thinking oh dear what have I done!

Bock looked out for himself fair enough, but don't expect me to have any sympathy for him being involved in thrashings like this all year.

Can they have signed already? Or just an intention to sign?

I don't think they'll regret it. They signed for money, not success.

Unless for some reason they don't get paid, haha

Going be seeing a lot of the footy this year, with not a whole lot of help. He'll be pivital in their progression over the next couple of years though and things will only get easier.

Still, going to push to poo up hill for a bit.

fat and uninterested is how the gold coast turncoats looked...

Blighty seemed pretty upset in the commentary...so he should be
i think he expected something a little more competitive...lol

the blues took the foot off after qtr time... some other teams won't...

collingwood should beat them by 300 odd pts...
48.24... to 0.1

I'm glad the crows get to smack into them twice, it's a huge advantage this year...
