Outgoing Sweet FA Administrator Cloud_ has today announced the cancellation of all Round 9 fixtures, the suspension of all club licenses and the complete and utter dissolution of the league effective immediately. The move is a pre-emptive measure following the return of the dreaded Top Contributors button, a button which nearly brought the league to its knees. After a brief renaissance in its absence, the league is not expected to recover this time and has been afforded an honourable death rather than a drawn-out demise.

After the annus horribilis that was Season 26, with its high activity, abundance of engaged rookies and plethora of media contributors, the removal of the TC button heading into Season 27 was expected to return the league to its former glory and after 8 rounds it looked par for the course. Media and match threads dominated by a bloated Baghdad outfit, a lack of diversity in media across the board, a large number of disengaged rookies and 3 or 4 clubs struggling for activity - experts could easily correlate the improvement of the league with the removal of the button. But now, with its return, it is all set to change.

You laugh now, but mark my words. The return of the Top Contributors button is the worst thing to ever happen to this league.

Agreed

There was a sudden increase in quality now it has declined rapidly again.

I’m going to go protest for it’s removal, want to join me?

The league will genuinely be worse off as a result.

Walk me through how it's better not having it this season compared to having it last season. I see no discernible difference and teams can still count posts.

A button that will have very little significance in this thread.
This is an excellent contribution Tony. A+

I am worried about WaynesWorld19 though, now that he can watch his post count click over, his ick skin will never be anything other than red raw.

Are you having a stroke in instalments?

Do you want the button, or do you not want the button?!...

That would be Self Indulgant .....admit it Dav, the Bombers have single handedly held this League together .....no Rookies to speak of , 3-4 teams hardly contributing ....we saw it as part of our Community Responsibility to help the league in tough times

No difference to me .....business as usual ....but it will resurrect the old Quality v Quantity debate that dominated last season

We see all other teams failing to do their bit for serving the wider community so being the noble, upstanding qitizens that we are, have provided them with a service that is quality and free.

You've got the "free" bit right
