Anyway which of the two ACDC frontmen did you like more??? Not only on the music they produced but just general things about their careers... Both are quite different when it somes to character IMO

For me though its about the music... and I simply preferred Bonny's stuff to Brians stuff. Highway to Hell - best Acca Dacca song ever

Bon Scott by miles. His ACDC were quintessential 70's oz rock and produced classics like "Long way to the top" & "jailbreak"..they changed as a band after Bon died and became something heavier that doesn't appeal to me. Although i like "rock & roll aint noise pollution" & "you shook me".

As singers they were both similar in quality. Credit to Johnson for being able to slide into that band and keep it up there. Not many frontmen could do that and Johnson deserves plenty of plaudits. He also suffers because people think a band should not continue after losing a key member. INXS anyone?

I think AC/DC would have died if Bon lived and Angus Young was the one that went. Angus is the true heart of that band.

I just decided that I would appreciate the music for what it was without comparison and frankly, while the style differs a little bit, quality wise they both stack up pretty well. Back in Black definitely the best album but the majority of hits occurred with Scott. He had the sense of fun while Johnson is more intense.

We are just lucky that Scott and Johnson were around to build and continue the Acca Dacca legacy. Long live AC/DC!!!

While Back in Black was easily their best album (and one of the greatest of all time), Highway to Hell is not far behind.

Thats the exact point though... a few of their albums which get the most the most recognition (BIB being no. 1) was around Brians era obviously... Pity that, especially the American market, only got into ACDC strongly in the Johnson days

Back in Black was so good because it was a tribute to Bon - but after that AC/DC didn't do much good (apart from a few great songs).

The band still tours, but with 7 years since their last album, is their recording career over? It's a good thing if true because it would further taint the legend of the band if they released more sub-par material (even though you only judge bands at their prime)
