I agree with the opinion that Tarrant should be dropped and have gone hard on him, as indicated by my posts on here and on another site, however I will not go down to the lowliness of booing him on the field.

It is just utterly stupid and makes our supporter base an embarrassment in front of those who hate us.

YEP !!!!!!!!!

I think Harvs has the balls NOT to drop Tarrant and not get sucked in by all the ill-informed, popularist, white-anting trash spouted by some of our 'supporters'. Dropping him before 10 or so others based on today's performance would be soft.

Made me furious to hear the boos...

How shameful is it to boo your own player? Especially a guy down on confidence and form?

Taz was having a go today, he only faded out of the game when we lost all control of the ball and couldn't get it to him with any precision...

Wish we could eject such low life supporters from the ground - we don't need them around the club at the moment.

There were at least 15 players worse than Taz out there today!

am i the only one who thought tarrant tried really hard today and showed great signs in a team that was getting thumped?

How good was it to see he go for some flyers and when he was pumped after the goal!! I love Taz.

No a few of us thought he was okay too. Had more tackles than most on the team, had more 1%'s than most on the team, had more possessions than most on the team.... despite generally getting shithouse delivery. All this despite having a head clash and spending a fair bit of time on the pine.

Why do Freo supporters always need a scapegoat? Fans booing him or giving bronx cheers were a disgrace. This has happened to Des, Schammer, CC over the past few years and it's downright embarrassing.

Collectively the team today were crap - they all need to take responsibility.. not just one or two players who cop the blame undeservedly.

def not the only one

He put in a huge effort the 1st half but didnt do much in 2nd half due to no service from midfield.
Still chased hard an put in a big effort.

Sure its not what we paid for but definatly didnt deserve boos when he seemed to be one of the very few actually putting in an effort.
If our midfielders and creating defenders actually did something today he may have got more service an ended up with over 25 possesions.

Yeah I thought Taz was ok today. Was great to see everyone run to him after he scored that goal in the first quarter.

Pretty tough for a Freo forward today, delivery was terrible.

Poor effort by those booing him.

Couldnt go to game today coz of a wedding earlier wasnt sure what time it would be over.

If i was there i think i would have booed them off the ground, would never boo a single player but the team as whole did not derserve to be cheered off the ground after such a pathetic effort.

After a display that piss weak fans surely should be able to boo them an let them know that kind of display just isnt acceptable.

They just thought they could show up stuff would hap[pen an they win.
Didnt bother doing any of the hard stuff coz hey why bother where gonna win

Serious attitude problem
Im sure we have the talent to be top 8 at the very least, it all comes down to heart/effort

Well what else would you expect from Freo supporters? They are indeed a rare breed. I note your team was suffering today from their Premiership hangover after last week...

Haha have you ever been to a West Coast game? - Methinks not!

Rowan Jones ring a bell? Chad Fletcher? Lynch? In fact go right back to Peter Sumich - remember the boos?

Yes we are a rare breed. But for all the our spasmodic pathetic performances we still remain a better team than your rabble up the road.
What is our recent win loss ratio over the last half a dozen games against you mob of plucked chooks?

Let me start by saying I didn't boo any of our players nor the team today, and have been opposed to this all my life, until now.

Now it's clearer than ever that our core playing group is total crap, and equally as clear that the sooner we get to the rebuilding stage the closer we are to a premiership, I think there's more to be achieved by showing our displeasure than blindly cheering this garbage.

And despite the fact there may have been worse performers today, Tarrant deserves whatever he gets for his efforts throughout his stint here.

Just my opinion, no doubt I'll be labelled all sorts of things but I want what's best for this club as much as anyone and we're all entitled to our opinions.

You want what's best for the club and yet you're an apologist for the knobs who gave Tarrant bronx cheers today?? Doesn't make sense! You're not a donkey, you're an ass.

:thumbsu: Spot on. With all the things about the coaching staff we might have to say, the best thing he can do is completely ignore the sentiments of some of the supposed fans.

Thats true but I can understand if they Booed the team off the oval today

What does that achieve exactly? I'm not saying cheer them off or anything. They were carp, and a look at the scoreboard will do that. They don't need their own home crowd laying into them as well. No one should boo their own team and especially one of their own players.

Perhaps, but at least it wont be as long lived as what your mob are going through this season which is commonly known as 'the come down'*

* come down, Slang. to lose one's euphoria, enthusiasm, or esp. the effects of a drug high.

Actually I have been to nearly every home game since 1987 and I have never heard our crowd actually boo one of our own current players, not even during the Ken Judge years. Now your just making stuff up and you know it.

Haha don't know what you do at the games then. I've honestly been to Eagles games where Sumich, Lynch, R Jones, Fletcher, Gehrig to name a few have been given the boos or bronx cheers from the WC crowd.

Very clever, how long did it take you to think of that one? Personally I don't see how accepting the crap we've been dished up by this abysmal excuse for a playing group is "what's best for the club." I doubt booing will achieve anything either, but at least there's an outside chance it might make the club realise it's time to clean house. And I don't know how you can blame people for being frustrated after 14 years of this crap.

You're either deaf, a bullsh*t artist or an absolute f***ing idiot, I'm guessing the latter.

Umm before calling me either of those things... please check whether you have quoted the right person lol. I certainly did not say any of that bottom quote!
