So is he worth getting?

420k this week. Same price as Daniel Rich.

Obviously a proven gun and SC performer in recent years, but hasn't done much in 09. Injuries and a series of low scores. Is he just easing into things after his elbow injury or is he past his best. The great man (Hutchy) reckons he's playing with a broken toe as well.

Was thinking the same thing, ill be able to do a straight swap next week for Brown to complete my fwd line but im a little worried, esp with the broken toe talk.

Anyone see him play today? How'd he look?

Played poorly. I had him early and he was tagged out of a few games. Proven performer but he's getting on - bit of a risk I reckon.

I was considering getting him in, but with the broken toe talk, I just can't take the risk at the pointy end of the season. Maybe if Ziebell was still there, him, boomer and anthony could cause some chaos in the mid-field however now with the roos completely out of finals contention, there is nothing really stopping him having an early start to the pre-season by getting his toe right just when we are all playing SC finals.

I'm spending the extra cash on a proven performer who has been untouchable recently, in Chapman. He absolutely ripped it up against the Saints. If you can't afford him, Leon Davis has dropped down from $668k to $511k, and I reckon he is a bit sick of Didak grabbing the spotlight every week, so he should have a blinder when he's recovered from his cold.

Just wanna give this one a bump. Anyone not touching Boomer? Just seems too good to be true.

No doubt he's a risk but I think at 419K the balance is in his favour. If you need convincing:

- North's run home is reasonable: Hawks; Tigers; Lions; Blues; Eagles; Saints (a blemish); and, Power. Of course they wouldn't be expected to win many of those and Lions, Eagles and Power are away but from an SC / tagger perspective I think it's not too bad.
- Apart from the injury game, two of the last three have been +100 (169 and 114).
- The 40 was against the Swans at the SCG (with toe, see below point).
- Re toe, there is a little media and no extensive way to do due diligence on it, but Crocker said after the Sydney game that he copped a kick in the lead up. If he's playing this week you've gotta think he's in pretty good shape. Why bother playing him now if he's injured, North are nowhere near finals.

I'm tempted by Harvey but his B/E this week is 100..... If he scores 120 he'll only rise $9k.....

For mine, I'm going to hold out and look at him again next week. For the extra $9k, I'll feel a hell of a lot more comfortable when he has another "good" game under his belt.

Besides, for a player that opened at $605k, his increased price of $430k is still a bargain!

this is champagne advise.

Just traded in Skipworth for him. If I didn't have to make the trade this week, I would've waited until his 40 went out of the rolling average.

Prime trade time for him is in two weeks, depending upon how he goes against Hawthorn, of course.

Boomer Harvey, Robert Murphy and other players around that mark all seem quite risky. So does Travis Cloke but he is a whole lot cheaper and has just hit a rich vein of form.
Anyone think he could be a good, solid pick up?

I need a replacement for Franklin, I'm ranked about 250 so I'm going to go all out and take some risks, Franklin for Cloke may be the first.

I ended up avoiding Boomer in favour of Judd (extra trade). With North out of finals contention his toe injury worried me - I have limited LTI trades left with Hodge, Cox and Drummond all concerns so yeah...

Bought him last week for the bargain basement price of $294K and he netted me 134 points, while he may not repeat that feat this week I'd say he'd be a solid pick up, espeically for his price.

It is an indictment on this website that Travis Cloke's name has even been uttered in this thread...

picked up cloke at abosolute steal for 269k as a straight swap the week ziebell got injured. i admit he was playing s*** until then but he has since score two 100's as a starter. collingwood are looking top four goods and that means it's reasonable he will do much better.

still it seems only couple of people other than me have even enetertained the thought of bringing him in. still an absolute steal at 340k for a player who could easily be 450k player.
