the sad reality of all this is that the umpires will believe the west coast have suffered greatly from a free kick count that only read s17-13 in their favuour at half time(it should be 40-3) and award a run of ultra soft kicks their way second half appeasing the crowd who have no idea.

Hilarious. Go back a few years when we were playing good footy and getting decent crowds and you don't hear booing at every contest.

it was pretty hilarious and subjective statements are open to interpretation. all clubs boo and jeer, its part of the game. why criticise a team for having loyal and engaged supporters?

The umpires set the tone by penalising Mackie for deliberate OOB. crowd cheers. Two instances after that (so it's 2-1 to the eagles) both of which are correct decisions, and the eagles fans go ballistic.

Have never booed at the footy, it just seems like pantomime 'watch out he's behind you!' sort of stuff but to be honest it'd be much worse if everyone just sat there quietly and said nothing. Good fun hearing the crowd really get into it... as long as the ringleader isn't sitting in the seat right behind yours.

When I go to Essendon games Essendon people boo and the other team's people boo too.
West Coast home games being 90% Eagles fans probably means they feel more secure to boo everything that annoys them since nobody (relatively) is 'booing back' for the other team.
