just wondering if anyone has been and what they think

i went last night and thought it was ordinary
full of ****ers (myself included)
the music was ordinary and the cover band were terrible (most are)

they didnt have cub beers or guiness on tap, only tooheys and hahn which is crap
i didnt mind cause i had drink cards so i didnt have to worry about paying for quality drinks, but the average punter wouldnt be happy

$8 cover charge is pretty steep

that being said there is a heap of talent around

anyone else been and whats your thoughts?

Yeh walshy, in my area to.
Haven't heard anything good about the joint. I was walking past their last night after going to the movies, and the amount of tossers there is un beleivable.
I like this joint in Hawthorn called The Room, on glenferrie road. The talent there is fantastic. Plus there are no sleazy morons with glow 'shticks', "mate".

That's funny M29, I walked past the place after seeing a movie last night as well.

I haven't been there yet either Walshy but I've heard that Friday nights are OK.

I'll have to find out for myself.

There probably isn't any guys with glow sticks because they are too drugged to hold them.
Valid point.
They also don't have podiums, which is another positive. It has a more casual atmosphere and isn't as sleazy as other joints 'mate'.

And as you come from the west M29, the girls wouldn't touch you with a 10 foot pole.

Boom Boom. Your no Harry Enfeild are you Rohan?

With your attitude, I wouldn't be suprised if you don't get any.

What movie did you see?

My hearts in Linton Street, the rest of me resides in the west. ;)

We saw the last session of A Knight's Tale. One of the better movies I've seen in a while too.

The only problem with Highpoint is that when you see the last session of a movie, they close of the whole building and force you to walk through the underground car park which is a bloody long walk if you car is parked on the other side of the complex. :D
