Clearly his best game for a long time. Ran. Tackled. Took pack marks. Kicked goals. Put his body in. His form has been good this year but he finally stepped above that level.

I think the only thing he messed up was an easy shot on goal in the last quarter.

Still, I think he shut a few people up today... and also gave it to them after kicking one of his goals. Looked like a big 'Up Yours' to the crowd!

It was good to finally see Joel Bowden show some of his talents.
He needs to perform on a more consistant basis to get the credit he deserves.

Overall, job well done today :)

IMO he was our best with Kane Johnson!!!

Was he giving the supporters and Up Yours?? or was he celebrating??? well he played well and went in hard!!!

WELL DONE BOWDEN

He was good Matt.
Never know, we still might get our Joel Bowden appreciation club up and running. :)
Make a note that the first person we'll sign up is oxx. :D

Always been a supporter of Joel so Ive probably taken note of his game a little more (with a bit of bias mixed up).

I think todays performance was excellent. I havent had a good look at the reply but Ill watch it tonight.

Joel was great and got my 3.

PS: Nice thread CJH ;)

Also turned it over in the backline once in the last quarter when he gave a kick too much air. Both mistakes were from tired looking kicks - another problem with the flooding game. It uses up too much player energy and our whole team was looking exhausted towards the end.

The most impressive thing about Bowden's game was that he was the one player wh0 tried to keep the ball moving forward (and quickly) all day, whether by a toepoke off the ground or a quick kick from a mark. As well as his own goals, he was responsible for a few of our others.
