Give it a rest. He was outmatched last night. Kid is still damn good and is becoming better.

Give us Jamo and Waite next year at FB and CHB respectively, watch Bower run the legs off of the opposition in the running half back position that he was born for and he'll be fine.

Nice to start a topic without any supporting comments on why you're posting such rubbish.

Kid can play, had to sacrifice his game for the team to play on a gun.

Much better suited at CHB, HBF where his run is brutally important to launching attacks from behind.

I also beleive that you may se him going in for a knee op / clean up very shortly.

Oh and by the way OP, I am sure he would be much better than you and your negative sh*t.:thumbsd:

can some1 remind me why you're even a blues fan? bower has been one of the real shining lights this year, our backline was stretched as it is, and when u have got such poor accountability and allow the lions to constanntly enter the forward 50 with ease and no pressure their forwards are going to have a picnic, i thought bower was really good until he got injured
 
Bower is a f***** gun!

He was on fire early in the season and was clearly playing through injury the last 4-5 rounds. Due to Ratts "no defence" game plan Bradshaw and Brown had all the delievery put to their favour one out all night. Not many backs can handle that.

I can tell you now that Bower will never play in the bullants (unless coming back from a major injury)

First player picked in my supercoach team next year!!

From ideally being a HBF to having to take up FB, because of circumstances.
Don't knock Bower mate, just because you don't watch football, please.

give me a break, i can not believe some of you blues supporters aiming the gun at probably your best young defender :confused:...... then again benindie you seem to be in the minority
 
I think Bower's first half of the year was great, however has really battled since that knee injury against Essendon.

Let's not hide from the fact though that he was clearly beaten by Bradshaw who was the matchwinner in the end however I appreciate he was playing in pain.

Whilst I do not think he is in the 'Gun' class yet, I think Paul is going to be a very solid defender for us over the next 5-10 years. For him to become a gun, he needs to put alot more weight on and his disposal needs further improvement if he is to become a running attacking defender.

Perhaps the biggest dissapointment in hindsight is the lack of support Bower and Thornton had from the likes of Russell, Walker, Scotland down back.....it seemed everytime Fev went near it they had players everywhere to support Merrett

Voss clearly used his talls alot better than Ratten did....

Mods I know you have to cut our own some slack but a thread like this is a disgrace.
 
Put Bower up for trade and see how many clubs would be after him. He is young, has been getting plenty of experience down back and has had to play on most of the big forwards this season due to major injuries to waite and jamison.

I really cant find any criticisms of Bower or Thorntan for that matter this year. Both were not meant to be playing on the big boys!
