Toast Brad Ebert a true warrior

I thought he was close to our best tonight and wonderful for the past three matches. Went out with the courage and selflessness he will be remembered for. Unfortunately, history will show that he, Westy and probably in time a handful of others, played out their careers valiantly without a flag. But they saved us from oblivion and hopefully their legacy will be that it cultivated a dynasty to be built off the back of Rozee, Butters, Duursma, Hayes and Georgiades.

Sad to see Brad go out like that instead of with a premiership medal around his neck. Really hope his countless acts of courage won't result in long term health issues.

Part of the Port Adelaide royal family so will always and forever be part of this club.

Random bonus fact: saw Brett Ebert crossing North Terrace before the game.

At the ground it looked like he got an elbow to the head.
Why wasn’t that a free kick?

did the telecast show something different?

A champion bloke and one of the bravest footballers you will ever see.

Ken said he won't be lost to the club but he has retired for the sake of his health.

Great decision, no one could ask any more of you. Thank you for everything you brought to the club.

In the collision with Riewoldt, Brad's head whiplashed into the ground when he landed.

Sad to see him go but his efforts will forever be part of this club's enviable tradition. His final act on a footy field typified his courage and effort, as well as his ability to read the ball in the air. The kind of player you can be intensely proud of as a supporter.

An absolute warrior and he will be missed, but this is the right decision. He needs to look after his brain and live well to a ripe old age with his family.

Gave it his all each and every time for the jumper and what this club was built on. Enjoy retirement and spending time with your young children. May the Ebert name be running around for Port again in the future.

Yeah sad way to finish. Glad he has though. Concussions are too bad and life after football is more important. Will always be a port adelaide legend.

He got a hard hit to the back of the head first Ford then hit the ground.

Collision was over in the blink of an eye, so I didn't see that. But his head definitely smacked hard into the ground as he landed on his back.
