Simple question. We all know Brad's really struggled this year - but why the hell isn't he playing the same role as last year (is rotating deep forward, to forward flank, with occasional stints in the midfield)?? He kicked close to 60 goals last year FFS. This season he's playing the vast majority of games in the midfield and just isn't having an influence.

Might just be me but i thought he was playing in the forward line until last week..

Re: Brad Green - why isn't he playing forward

I have no idea why because he isn't doing much of anything at the moment, he seems almost lost in no mans land.

He almost looks like the game has past him by. Sad to see.

Re: Brad Green - why isn't he playing forward

ACtually, i thought he was playing a lot deeper in the first few rounds this season than last year. But clearly this wasnt working for him

Bailey moved him to the wing so that he can get his hands on the ball and restore his confidence.

He was pretty good at being the link up man last week.
Had 11 disposals at 1st quarter time.

But he was average today.
should be dropped this week, but he's impervious to the hammer since his the captain.

Re: Brad Green - why isn't he playing forward

He has only played on the wing in the last 2 games because he did **** all up forward against the Eagles, albeit with woeful delivery.

Re: Brad Green - why isn't he playing forward

Looked all at sea today, probably the most ineffectual 20 touch game he has played.

No idea what the solution is, when someone's out of form, you generally don't hide them at FF.

Re: Brad Green - why isn't he playing forward

I think we all agree that Brad's best spot now is as a lead up forward. But he has to play around the ball at the moment due to injury and our inability to get the ball inside 50. His problem is that he is out of form and he struggles to keep up with the pace of the game.

Catch 22.

He played forward until the Adelaide game where he was very good on the wing. Yesterday he was rubbish.

He's lost a yard and is slow, which means on the wing he can at least not get exposed the other way. Up forward he's struggling to get a break on the lead (his biggest weapon) and he's never been a great one on one mark. I prefer Petterd, Jurrah and Dunn.

I'd give him one more week on the wing (due to our injuries) to see if he can play a better game like he did against Adelaide, but really I feel the end is approaching fast.
