Would just like to know where Green sits with the general support of Melbourne. Seems like a very soft player who just hasn't yet pushed on from his good from in previous seasons.

Brilliant set shot at goal, would he be better suited to sit down in the forward line as a lead out forward instead of being virtually innefectual along the wings? Especially with Robbo and Neitz out (pathetic luck:thumbsd:) for the forseeable future.

Any thoughts?

Green looks very good when there is a definite target in the F 50 that he can kick long to. Without that, he didn't know what to do with the ball today.

Despite what some may think of him (powder puff toughness), he is an integral part of the team that is doing well. But when the team suffers, he is crud.

Yeah I'm not so sure about the "soft" tag anymore but he does go missing on more than enough occasions. Career seems to have platued. Hasn't taken a game apart for so long. And hasn't kicked many goals either. I reckon we have enough midfielders to cover we should stick him back round goals

He is not the archetypal tough man but does go when it is his turn. He puts his head over the ball and thats all I ask for. His leading forward Louganis diving days are over anyone who can't see that hasn't watched him play since 03.

It makes me laugh when people call him soft, he played all of last season in the guts with bone spurs in his foot, would you really like his job?

He is generally a solid contributor (not really a genuine matchwinner). I don't understand why he is copping it for yesterday when guys like Johnstone, Davey and Robertson were way more pants than Green.

I think Green has become a more consistent contributor since being moved to the wing. His lows aren't as low as they were but equally his highs aren't as high as they once were. I would probably like to see him moved forward again and be able to rotate onto the wing just to give others a rest.

I am happy with the contributions being made by Brad Green. Although not an out and out superstar he is a consistant performer for the Dees and always works hard.

If we put him in the forward line then we'd have 3 inconsistant, middle-sized forwards that will only play well when there is consistant and good delivery into an open forward line (Yze, Robertson, Green). Bit harsh on Robbo though maybe.

Green isn't a match winner like we once thought he would turn out to be (remember the game against Carlton in the 2000 final?). He may turn out to prove us wrong but at the moment we have to settle for a reasonably consistant midfielder with good skills.

One thing that I'm a bit annoyed about is how his goalkicking has gone down from its once lofty heights. I'd now rate him as a good kick at goal when he used to be one of the best in the league.

Id love to see him in the forward line more often. Its where he was at his best. The brad green wing experiment just hasnt worked.

Yeah, I think he should've been the one to go up forward once neitz went down with the knee on monday. Bate just couldn't cut it up forward.

Green is our only real option for full forward. I am surprised nobody seem to see this. He has played this position well in his early days, he is a good set shot - surely we have enough players still in the team to step into the midfield.

his a very accurate kick but he doesnt kick flat enough like Luke hodge, this is pretty bad because the defender has alot of time to get back.

Was so pissed off when he didn't have a proper shot for goal near the boundary in the 2nd quarter. Bloody Johnstone was hounding him, telling him to kick it to Jones who wouldn't have been free by the time the ball got to him anyway.

Good game Green. He played predominately as a full forward and if Neitz had gotten stats like Green we'd be happy.
