Despite our optimistic hopes for him to turn into a defender, I think he definately plays better up the field. With Paul Johnson rotating from ruck to half forward (and doing quite well), and Bate soon to come back in the side, will Miller have a spot?

I'd like to see him tried at full forward, because he is actually a decent set shot for goal. His only problem is that he usually gets the ball 75 metres out, which forces him to think.

When on song, Miller plays the lead up CHF role very effectively. Leave him there for the rest of the season, and if it still isn't working, I think its fair to say MFC have given him plenty of opportunity.

He did that role well on Sunday but this is nothing new. We've all seen him play this role well before (albeit not for a little while). While we are in this average period we should keep him at CHF as he does a fair job of it but he's never going to be our next big CHF. Newton needs to come back and be given another chance at it. There is also Bate to return.

I think Miller looks a lot more comfortable in the forward line. If he's in form, play him there. If not, drop him.

thank god someone else feels this way. the man played 1 good game on an attacker (some would prob say now that hall just had a day off) and he was a defender, that is crap. i dont want to blaspheme but put neitz at the back, he should be there, as wayne carey said neitz is the best opponent he has ever played on. if the best ever forward said that maybe, just maybe it might be true. SO as i say neitz back, miller forward

miller played blody well sunday leading up nd straightening us up... he gives the hands nd brings our midfielders into the game which then makes us look a hell of a lot better... hes only guna be better with bate there as well... back him in cos i rekon he looked a bit like he did in '05 on saturday which is bloody awesome... give him a few weeks to settle then decide

We were pretty good last weekend but generally when a Demon player gets the ball not enough of his team mates are providing him with options - At least Miller provides leading options and gives us possession around the CHF line - I admit he is not the greatest kick but I wouldn't be throwing him to the seconds just at the minute.

Thought it an appropriate time to bump this thread. Has been very good the last couple of weeks at CHF.

was BOG yesterday played a good 4 quarters and presented all day took 3 or 4 contexted grabs which are a rarity these days. Just shows he should never play down back ever again. Kicked 3 goals as well, would be good to see hom kick 2 or 3 on more occasions. Works well in tandem with Bate, as they can take turns pushing up the ground. It also allows bate to go upfiled and spend some time in the midfield and still have a target in miller accross the half fwd line.

Very happy with his game yesterday i just hope he plays there for the rest of the year no matter what. I was very happy with his goal kicking as well hope he can continue that.

To be honest I've always thought he's a good kick for goal, he just hasn't been able to take that many shots due to the way he plays.

Looked very good yesterday as he played a bit deeper which I liked, and was leading up to about 55-65 out rather than right up to the wings, which I think Bate is better at.
