This guy does not deseve another year at our club. He has been given years to prove himself but has done nothing besides having one sensational game in the SF against freo last year.

If we can get anything for him thatd b amazing. The club should not be pondering the decision of keeping this guy. He has had another shithouse season.

I dont believe we could get much for him at all but if we can we should jump at the opportunity .

Get rid of HIM!

i heard syd are intersted, possibly invovled in a travis johnstone deal... to secure a higher pick.. personally i think the guy is a liability..

Well the talk at the moment was combining him with TJ and trading them to Sydney. Depending on who or what was going to be coming our way I would strongly look at it. The word was these two for Pick 11, Jolly and a premierhip player. It seems like alot and we look to do the better out of it but who knows. As per usual all specualation until next week

Brad Miller, i get angry at sometimes and extremley frustrated at. I think neale danhier ruined his career and feel sorry for him in a way, back in 05 when he got done for that head high collison against adelaide at the mcg, i think that was the start of the end of miller as a dominant intimediating type footballer. He was being talked about in the mold of a johnathan brown (not as skilled but tough unforgiving), and as u can see brown still has that intimidation in his game even with all these rule changes the afl has brought in. Brown was even eligable for the brownlow this year in other words not reported but do people still fear him?? DAMN STRAIGHT!! Miller from that suspension against adelaide has now been put well and truley back into his shell and has seemed to lose all self confidence and ability that made him a vice-captain. Its sad to miller turn out this way because he is better than this, i just wonder if daniher had told him to stop being aggressive because it sure seems that way when u see miller these days. He also has seemed to lose a heap of muscle, he was a sherman tank at one stage now he seems like a man who knows he not as strong as he once was so doesnt try to intimedate. Its really is sad

i agree with this to an extent but his on field descion making has always been poor. I thought he was dudded, last year in WC where he got 2 or 3 weeks for a minor jumper punch... that was a joke.

Hopefully we can milk him big time and get Sydney's second rounder. That'd be no worse than the milking we did to get 13 (or 15, I forget) for Jolly.

Ive heard people say we could get some value out of him but i personally think that any team who would have a crack at this bloke would be ******ed, he has shown absolutely nothing over the last 5 years and i could not see why any team would want to have him

althought to any club interested be my guest

this guy is shithouse

Had a good in season in 2004,since then has not met to the clubs expectations. The thing that annoyed me was he would lead from CHF to the centre of the ground to far out from goal ,then dish off a crappy handball ,then leave it up to our other forwards to score. The final against Fremantle is what he has to bring to the plate every week (16marks) at least 10 of those marks were contested.

I LOL'D hard. :thumbsu:

Pick 11, Jolly and another premiership player for Miller and Johnstone? I don't think so.

Wishful thinking perhaps?

Our first round pick, plus Jolly, and a premiership player for an overated and inconsistant midfielder and a somewhat useful medium sized player. No chance at all...

Yeah we'd be losing out badly on that one even with us trading Miller.

2nd rounder for Johnstone sounds more plausible although at his age (28 in July next year) I'd rather go and pick some young kid.

If you Darren back, then gladly hand back a first rounder (just happens that yours is much higher now ;))

You guys were dumb enough to give us pick 15 for jolly so by that sense u would easily give us 11 for johnstone......just what u need anyway trade away another high draft pick like u have done the past 5 years.

As for miller and links to sydney yes i can see why, remember guys miller plays well usually on hall except for last year up at the scg when he got killed in the first quater. IF ANYONE is going to take him off our hands it will be the swans.

thank you barry hall in advance from all melbourne supporters!!:)

Ruckmen, by the fact there are few decent ones going around always attract a premium. Not saying Jolly is better than Johnstone but in relative terms, he's probably worth more than Johnstone is.

I agree..and if we the fans can see how crap he is, then I bet every other club, if he worth the time looking at, would know how crap he is too...

If dean bailey leaves miller at CHF and lets his play all 22 games there and not shift him from forward to back he will be a good CHF. Newton isnt up to it yet and Bate is more of a half forward flanker ala Ryan O'keefe.

cant say i agree with ya here.....he has lost all confidence doesnt matter if he spends time foard or back his hands are now like stone doesnt and never has taken a pack mark.......all he is is a lead up foward just like bate but taller, same postion, same type of role but bates hands stick and millers dont. Bate kicks goals miller doesnt.......By the way please tell me matthew bate will turn out like ryan o'keefe....luv that idea!!!

I just think that neahle daniher has ruined Millers confidence by playing him back and forth every week. If bailey gives him the chance to play CHF i think he can start to get some confidence back and play more consistently. As much as people hate to say it he is the bes option we have at CHF at the moment Newton isnt ready and really only played KPP because of the bad year we had...i do think bate has the potential to become a ryan o'keefe.

To play CHF you need a football brain. Brad Miller hasn't got one..........

Paul Roos is extremely keen on Miller. Article in Fox Sports today about him wanting to recruit Miller as another tall forward option. Also in the article there was news that we are trying to offload TJ but so far nobody has been interested.

tommy i hope what your saying is true

your getting me excited that brad miller wont be wearing the red and blue guernsey next yr.

Swans to deal for Demons forward

By Greg Denham
October 04, 2007

DESPITE an ordinary two seasons, Melbourne key-position player Brad Miller has become a target for Sydney.

Swans coach Paul Roos acknowledged interest in the 24-year-old who is out of contract with the Demons.

"We've had preliminary discussions with Melbourne and it'll probably start to heat up a bit now," Roos said.

Miller has played with success at both centre half-forward and centre half-back, but Roos said he was looking at Miller as another tall-forward option.

Melbourne list manager Craig Cameron said he was aware of Sydney's interest, but declared Miller a required player.

"We've offered him a two-year contract and we're waiting for a reply," Cameron said. "We really rate him as a person with great leadership qualities and we want him to stay."

Miller has played 31 senior games out of a possible 46 for the Demons over the past two years. The Swans have yet to make an offer to Melbourne in exchange for Miller.

Roos said the Swans also had an interest in Geelong's out-of-contract midfielder Kane Tenace and Brisbane defender/midfield player Justin Sherman, who is contracted to the Lions for another two years.

"We'll be talking to Geelong about Tenace, and it depends on what they want in return," Roos said.

Tenace has played 53 games for the Cats in four seasons, but he managed only nine this year before being struck down by severe hamstring problems in the second half of the season.

Roos said clubs would start to hold more serious list discussions now Chris Judd had decided on Carlton as his club of choice. But with a stand-off between West Coast and the Blues, Judd's manager Paul Connors said he did not expect a trade resolution for several days.

Roos said Sydney would be "leaning to keeping" its first pick in the national draft at No.11 overall.

Sydney is also confident of retaining out-of-contract ruckman Darren Jolly. Roos said the club was working through the final stages of a four-year contract with Jolly, and was optimistic a deal would be clinched as early as this weekend.

Melbourne is trying to off-load 2005 best-and-fairest winner Travis Johnstone for the right deal. So far, there have been no takers for the 1997 No.1 national draft selection.

They offered him a two year deal, are they nuts! Take him Sydney, he's yours for a 3rd round pick

Dear MB, That will be pick 44. Miller should worth more than that. If throw in Buchanan, then it's a different story.
