I think Ottens game was sensational on the weekend. Kicked two goals from strong marks in forwardline. Dominated the tap outs, toying with the "All Australian" ruckmen.

He played a massive part in giving us 1st use of the ball and the lopsided clearance count. I think he was the most important guy in the ground easily.

Congrats to Ottens for stepping up in the finals and showing all the Richmond doubters what you are made of.

He was brilliant yesterday.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

I love the way he really uses his big body around the stoppages to monster the opposition and try and give us first use of the ball.
Would also say he is by far the best big man going around if the ball is on the ground.

Go OTTO!!!:thumbsu::thumbsu:

p.s Where have all those delightful Tiger supporters gone now days?

I thought Otto was brilliant again yesterday. His ability to go forward and kick a couple is becoming very important.

Blake was very good as well with 16 quality hitouts, 13 disposals, 4 marks, 2 tackles.

I still believe these two are out best ruck duo, no need to bring King back even against Lade and Brogan I think these two are the best option.

I hear he was reported in first qtr, is there much in it?

There is nothing in the papers about it, yet I did see it mentioned on here and a few other outlets last night. It was in the kicking action, not high and fair in the midsection.

If Buchanan can get off without penalty for his ridiculously high and unfair bump, then Otto will have nothing to worry about.

Their was a PA report that mentioned it, but other articles this morning said their were no reports, although the incident ma get looked at.

Did Hamish even play? Was towled up by a far superior Ottens. How this guys is not in the AA team is a joke.

Ottens has such a presence around the stoppage. I don't think there is a better big fella when the ball is on the deck.

Nope, there isn't, and if Steven King had a dip like Ottens does, he'd be in the side as well.

Its a good story for otto...who was ridiculed and was the butt of all negativity a few years ago.. He has fought back hard when it seemed most likely he would fade away and be miligned for is whole career.

Great work otto....:thumbsu:

There was never any Richmond doubters. This was the best game I have seen Brad play at Geelong. I went to the game and I came away thinking what a great game he played.

Thanks Tigers71, i have been very impressed with Otto really from the time he announced that he wanted to come to Geelong. He had groin injuries in a fair bit of his first two seasons, but he always showed how good in the ruck he was, certainly as King's effectiveness has diminished over the last few years. This year Ottens has been fantastic, he tackles almost as often as a small man, and gives the midfield an armchair ride, plus chiming in with a few goals.

He has initially recruited to be the mystical power forward, but with Mooney and Nablett stepping into the roles that previously Gardiner and Playfair occupied, Otto has become the premier ruckman. He would also be i think the BEST mature age recruit Geelong has ever had. By my definition i'm suggesting a bloke who has played over 100 games with a previous club, going back in the books, i think Geelong fans would not find a better recruit for our side in at least 35 years.
