Had a terrific first half today

Should be a permant spot on a HFF or a Wing

The best part for me was how he used his pace (could teach Smith a thing or two) and how hard he hit the footy! Was very clean with it as well.

Did well defensively today which was impressive and his run was great, probably the only positive of getting a few injurys is unearthing all these kids.

I've posted before and I'll post it again, Sheppard should be given a good run across HFF as the Nicoski defensive / offensive HFFer. He has pace and pretty decent skills and can kick goals. He gets found out a bit down back just like Nicoski did but IMO is a better attacking option.

Played a great first half just needs to keep on building on it.

Was very very good, used his pace so well, loved his game.

His covering defence and breaking of the lines was excellent.

One passage of play, I'd say second quarter towards the end, received the handball with 2 Saints around him and just burned them and distributed. Very impressive first half, faded a little but was still always there - could he come around and be worth his draft value in the near future? Somewhat fastracked Masten syndrome?

His 1st half, watching at the ground, was very, very good.

Need to find a way to keep him in the team and develop him.

This game just opened my eyes to what his potential could be.

Ive bagged him previously but thought he was great today. burning off players running to the wing, hitting contests hard and going back with the flight. I mistook him for waters a couple of times

I think one of his underrated strengths is his overhead marking/defensive marking.

Really impressed by his willingness to attack the contest and then be attacking when he had ball.

Masten, Scooter and now Shepperd coming through. Good signs.

Yeah looks like another that will prove clearly comfortable at this level, although his journey's a bit different to Masten's who first few years were cruelled by injury.

Shep probably shouldn't have got games in 2010 but we were shit, and after being a bloke who was late to commit to footy is really getting there. I think he still has huge upside in him

Quality game early - you can tell he hasn't played a lot of AFL footy, because he hit the quicksand pretty early on into the third.

Still he showed plenty and a few more full games of AFL should get his tank up.

Loved his game today. Superb attack on the ball, second effort of smothing was awesome to see. Blitzed through the lines, never really looked nervous and was tough as nails against players who had the balls. Would prefer him on the HBF since he has such a nice foot on him, but his defensive side does need work as guys here have said.

We have enough quality small/mediums on the HB line. Need to use his speed and skill going i50 imo.
