Anyone heard any rumours/facts that West Coast could draft Subi's Brad Smith. Trade week wasn't too fruitful in terms of us nabbing a key posistion player. Could we maybe try and draft Brad with that late national draft pick, #58, or in the preseason draft to address our 'tall' problem.
Thoughts?????

I brought this up a while ago, I reckon he would be worth a shot. Also should look at getting Brent LeCras on the rookie list. He tried out with us last pre season, but was overlooked ahead of Nicoski and Edwards. LeCras has improved a lot this season, and should definitely be considered again for a rookie list spot at the very least.

Brad Smith is worth a shot as well because his cost will be next to nothing.

Lecras is definitely worth a go. During the finals series, I kept on asking myself 'why isn't this bloke playing AFL?'

I believe it was a medial ligament strain which I think is about a 6 week injury. I remember hearing on the radio it was a similar injury to the one Gardy got during the year.

I think LeCras is worth a go more than Smith. LeCras did improve a lot during the year and is young enough to improve more yet. Certainly he's much more versatile than Smith who is a bit of a one dimensional player up forward. We just got rid of one of those (WillO). Do we want to fill up a roster slot with another one? I wouldn't think so.

I would also go for Lecras over Smith. I know that the Kangaroos have done some sniffing around Lecras over the last month so there are definately other clubs taking an interest in him.
