You know how it goes. I've also thought such and such was a dud .... what a terrible trade that was .... I can't believe they drafted x when y was on the board still. Wrong coaching selection.

If someone is going to melt down over a decision years later, they should at least declare it in here in advance. This way you can point back to an early declaration or others can point out you didn't say anything at the time.

The most immediate concern is the upcoming draft. There is certain to be some discontent.

Declare your hand now ....

If Carlton don't select ....... when he is available, they have made a terrible mistake or; if Carlton do select ...... they have made a terrible mistake.

Let's see how strongly people feel about their choices if they have to declare their hand early and have it referred back to. Let's see who gets a lot right and becomes a new board guru.

This works for getting on bandwagons early too by the way. Let me start with a mild one. I think Boekhorst will make it and I think Whiley won't.

11. I had high hopes for Mark Whiley but admit that they may have been premature.

12. 2015 is the most important draft in the club's history.

13. If the club butchers this draft, the rebel group will try and overthrow the current board.

14. The club will set record membership numbers this season subject to the draft outcomes.

15. We will still finish 17th or 18th in 2016.

16. Clem Smith will become a crowd favourite/cult figure with his robust attack on the contest.

17. Mark Loguidice will be replaced as president inside 24-months.

18. Brett Ratten will return to the club in an assistant coaching capacity in 2017.

19. Luke Hodge and/or Sam Mitchell will appointed as assistant coach(es) at Carlton when they retire from playing.

20. Kade Simpson will retire at the end of next season.

1. We know we are going to get Weitering and SOSOS and both will be good gets, particularly if we give them both time to develop in the 2s next year.
2. We need to get at least two of Weideman (what ever happened to "i" before "e"?), H. McKay, Francis, Collins or B McKay . Like the Sheik says, we need to start tall and, once that is in order we can fill out the spaces.
3. Greg Clark will turn out to be a better player than whoever we select with pick 19.
4. Balic, Milera and Ah Chee should not be selected by us even if they are "best available".

I am willing to bet dollars to donuts you are wrong about Boekhorst Windy.

Can't argue about the others listed, but Boekhorst has shown enough to prove he belongs at AFL level, and lets be honest, last season, most FYP's would have struggled to swim in the waters of despair that engulfed our club,and makes Cripps remarkable season all the more impressive and exciting.

I'm very much a glass half empty kinda guy, but I am genuinely excited and optimistic about Boekhorst. He will prove you wrong !
