Supposedly he is tearing it up in the ressies, according to reports. We re-signed him till the end of 2017.
Can he play the role left open if Mitchell doesnt re- sign who knows ? Because the guy needs another chance in the seniors!

Will be delisted.
Contracted until end of next year, developing, good depth, playing well in NEAFL.

Why is he going to be delisted? There's a couple on out list that'll go before we lose him, you'd think. (Hiscox, Derickx)

He's doing what he needs to do. May as well see how he progresses over the next year and a bit and see where the rest of the team is at. His brother will be closing in on 31 by the time BJ's contract finishes and he could turn out to be a pretty handy replacement. Sort of strange to think KJ is now our next likely retiree from our midfield brigade.

I think he'll get a game at some point in the second half of the year. Due to an injury or purely on the back of form at some point.

And as robbie points out, it would be utterly stupid of us to delist him at the end of this year as we would essentially be paying for him without getting the opportunity to actually use him as a player should we need to. If he requests a trade then so be it, but you'd be a moron to delist him.

I like that the coaches are being real hardarses on him. He needed it, to have some humility forcefully kicked into him and to be forced to be a leader and work harder than ever before. He'll be better for it in the long run, be that in Sydney or at another AFL club or anywhere else in life.

Agreed. I like how the coaches hold back our boys until they are ready. BJ will perform when he next gets his chance because of this approach IMO.

I think BJ will turn out to be a decent player for the Swans. I know that's not a popular opinion around these parts as he's already played a few games and failed to make the AA squad or win the Brownlow, but he's nowhere near as bad as some people make out.

There are similarities with cricketer Steve Smith who played at the top level before his time and when he probably didn't quite deserve it. He was a whipping boy for ages but eventually he's matured and proved those doubters wrong. There is no guarantee that BJ will make it at the top level, but he's only just turned 22 and has tracked as well as his brother up to this point. This is coming from a rookie selection too, not a top 10 draft pick like Heeney/Mills who slots straight in to the best 22 at age 18.

Still running away from fyfe
Still first thing I think of when see his name now.

Similar to McGlynn in 14 gf and his letting hodge mark the Rohan kick in cause he couldn't be arsed moving

We CAN'T delist BJ as he is a contracted player and would have to include his 2017 contract as part of next years salary cap if we did.

Only way he leaves the club at the end of the year is via a trade

We can shoot him out of a cannon though right?

Sshhh, he's a popular forum whipping boy. Best not to use so much logical reasoning in one sentence.

Personally thought there were some good signs in 2013. Still developing as you say, if he overcomes some of the deficiencies in his game which it sounds like he is working hard to do there is some talent there, no reason he can't come back and make an impact in the seniors in the future.

I'll keep the faith at least until he starts tracking slower than his brother.

I'm not a big fan of Jack, however, this team could use some outside run. Rohan is doing a great job right now, but having a couple can't hurt!
