Sorry to harp on about this guys, but is he likely play again this year? I know he has OP, but I think we are missing his hardness at the ball and he would be a handy inclusion with pickett out, but I'm not sure how far (if at all) he is from playing....

I reckon he could probably get a game before the end of the year but I doubt he will as I doubt he'd be fit enough before finals.

He was training but only at about 70% when i was there which was disappointing as apparently that has been the case all year.

May need a pre-season to get over the injury fully, as long as he recovers thats the main thing.

Yeah its a shame, would love moloney to be playing. But on the other hand its further scope for improvement in the team next year. Brocky and Moloney in tandem thru the middle would be awesome.:thumbsu:

Have it on good authority that Brent may never play for the Dees again.

Hope it's not true but please don't shoot me, I am only the messenger.

By that do you mean that he'll never play football again due to this injury, or that he wants to leave the club?

I doubt either scenario is true. He loves the club, and OP is a condition 99% of players get over and can manage.

I don't think so. I have heard Neale Daniher talk of him in glowing terms.

Voices in your head does not constitute 'good authority.'

Probably a bit harsh but if you know something then at least post the reasons. I can understand not wanting to divulge the source (I prefer sweet chilli myself) but surely you must understand that if you just make coments like this then no one will believe or respect you.

guys dont stress - as much as i want beamer back in the blue and white hoops - he will not be leaving u guys.

prepare for an exciting decade with mclean, moloney, sylvia, jones and bartram in the midfiled.

PS - Beamer for captain :thumbsu:

Won't leave the club. We wouldn't trade him because his value would have decreased after most of this year out injured and we would get r*ped in a trade for him. Need his long kicking back but he is in the sun as indefinite, he won't play this year, bar some sort of miracle

Cheers mate, as not a lot of Cats supporters seem to like him at times.
I watched Round 1 2005 the other day and jeez he will never be a Judd or a real superstar but he has the potential to be a very, very good player.

He would be a walk up start in our 22 full fit wouldn't he? So hope he's back for the finals...But then again we made a big mistake last year playing underdone players in the finals. All the best to Beamer:thumbsu:

He had an awesome year last year and looked set to improve until hit by injury.
He is a gun and he has a place in our midfield for years to come.

To quote the coach on White Line Fever last night, Beamer will be playing a half in the Sandy reserves this week in his last ditch effort to make the side for the finals, if that fails I guess he will be put in cotton wool until next season. And on some other points ND said Miller will play, Robbo is doubtful and that Davey may play on Saturday.

Wasn't in the best or goals. I doubt that he would have played over a half. Lets hope he pulled up fine and in the Sandy seniors next week.

If he is ok, let's hope he plays for Sandy next week and then comes back in against Geelong so we can remind them down at Skilled Stadium as to the trade of the year....

If you look at the 4 times we've played since he joined us, he has had 20+ possessions in three of those games. He loves playing them.
I just hope he can come back into the side for the finals. As Jimi said he is part of our midfield for the next 5 years at least.

hope he gets back. Also heard he got through 3 quarters in the 2's. automatic selection onball, could be a great bonus for us in finals

yeah i hope too see him back soon to. just hope they wait till he's ready. don't want to see him rushed in and then get injured again

According to Daniher on white line fever last week, he was supposed to play a half in the reserves, so let's hope that him playing an extra quarter means that he is closer to coming back.....
