Rumours down at Geelong say he is not happy there. I think he would be a great asset to our midfield. Interested in hearing what you guys think and how do you think we can attract him to our mighty club.:)

Im not sure if we could unless we offered draft picks. It is not like Geelong will have much use for the players we dont want to keep.

Just read that he is out of contract anyway so our chances of getting him are slim anyway.:(

I think it is well pointed out that he will be of far greater benefit to Essendon.

He would feel aggreived because Joel Selwood has basically pinched his spot in the team this year.

Would be a handy pick up for the side as long as we don't have to give away too much to get him.

With him being out of contract, then unfortunatly we may have to give a bit for him, as we would have a chance of getting him via the PSD.

We wouldn't have to give up too much, I mean has he even cracked it for a senior game this year?

Geelong would also be desparate to get something for him rather than lose him for nothing in the PSD.

Pick in the mid 20s sounds about right for me.

I'd love to have him at Essendon, from what iv'e seen he's a great user of the ball and pretty classy. I'd give up a 2nd rounder for him anyday. These are the kind of youngsters we should be going after!
If we could get anyone in trade, he is one of the players that i would want most at our club. Any young midfielder with great disposal is welcome at our club any day.

Looks like the recruiters didn't agree at the time- they went for Lee instead.

Probably because Geelong's recruiters are smarter and better than ours, seeing as they took Prismall #32, N.Ablett #48 and M.Egan at #62 all in that draft with only the 3 picks they had, bloody smartass's.

How so?

They had a F&S selection, a bloke that can't get in their side and then they took a punt on a bloke who had played a two years of footy and it paid off.

Sometimes, you just get lucky.
Exactly, it paid off and now theyv'e pretty damn good CHB in Egan and the reason Prismall can't get a gig in the midfield isn't because he isn't a good player, it's because theyv'e got such a good midfield and the players in their midfield are just better than him, where as if he came to Essendon, he'd probably get a gig in the 22. He has to compete with Bartell, Ablett, Chapman, Corey, Selwood, Ling, Wojcinski and Kelly, it'd no wonder he can't break into their side. It just shows how good a side is when they have players like Prismall out of the 22, it's called depth great sides have it.

Prismall would be a walk in regular to just about any side. He has so much talent to offer but still cannot force his way into the Geelong senior side at the moment , was close to getting in a few weeks ago but then injured his wrist. Would be a tremendous acquisition to any side in the AFL and is a future star. Well spotted Bombersmad75 ,But dont get too excited were not finished with him yet.

You said it was smart drafting, I wouldn't call drafting Ablett and Egan smart drafting.

And why do people keep saying Selwood is keeping Prismall out of the side. Tenace has been playing senior footy, should Prismall not be getting a game ahead of him.

Perhaps the problem with Prismall isn't a lack of ability, but his mental application.

I disagree with you Longy, that is some pretty sharp drafting, considering the picks.

The consensus that Selwood is keeping Prismall out has stemmed from half-a-dozen occasions where both players have been named on the seven man bench, only for Selwood to play and Prismall to miss out. Prismall is a highly talented player who with any luck should have played 18-20 games for Geelong this year, after breaking out in the second half of last year (after a broken arm).
I think Tenace only played because Prismall was injured.

If you ask almost all Geelong supporters they would choose Prismall well and truely before Tenace any day. Why does Tenace keep getting promoted, Only Bomber knows that because none of us do.

Tenace is used off half-back, where Prismal and Selwood are in and under midfielders. If Prismall dosen't get a few games for the rest of the season and ends up somewhere else, then I will be  .....He has the best foot skills I have ever seen by a youngster and he is a tough in and under midfielder who seems to be dominating the VFL with 32+ possesions a game and practically always BOG... although he's out for a couple of weeks with an injured wrist.

And Geelong picked up Teance when we went for Bradley.

Our recruiters have ignored mental application in the past, why did they apply it to Prismall ?

We also got Stanton at 13 that year so it wasnt a complete wipeout. Infact i think we finished in front. If we had taken Tenace chances are we would not have been picking Stants.

From a geelong perspective.
I rate this kid extremely highly. I have NFI why we keep playing Tenace instead of him. Has been in the best for the VFL for ages.

We would want a pick 12-18 at a minimum. Can't see why we would want to trade for him
