On occasions maybe. But with Yarran and possibly Hendo returning in the near future, spots in the forward line are getting scarce. Kinda feel sorry for Thornton. He's been through the tough times, but looks like he's getting squeezed out of this team, unless he can do something pretty dramatic. I hope he can.

Thorton might be used off the I/C and come in when needed to play back or fwd, but not as a permanent forward ahead of O'hailpin, Waite or Henderson.

Imo we should be getting more senior games into Henderson now and developing him for the future. WCE did it with Kennedy and are now reaping the benefits of a 50+ game player and I can see Essendon doing it now with Gumbleton.

Having another forward option does not harm the team. being able to play in more than one posiotion doesnt harm the team also. Yes i think he is a good mark and add to our forward line !

The game has passed Thornton by. Unless interchange restrictions come in players like Thornton are too slow to make a useful contribution. Further, his kicking is generally accurate but he kicks it into the air too much (occasionally being spoiled by he player on the mark) which gives the opposition the chance to monster the target. Henderson's 8, even though against substandard opposition, requires that he come back into the side for Thornton (unless, ridiculously, Waite is rubbed).
