Brett Lee Sucks!

Drop Him!!! Drop him now!! he is no good as a bowler, and thats what we need a BOWLER!

He aint the same as he was when he first started.
Reasons? well..

1. He is trying to bowl too fast at the moment, no control.
2. He thinks his pace his unplayable, always going for the stumps.
3. Not bowling line and length and not making the batsmen play outside off stump.
4. Too many lose wide balls.
5. Too many lose short deliverys which are wasted.
6. Needs to go back to state cricket and go back to basics.
7. Too expensive, going for 4.5 - 5.2 runs per over in TEST LEVEL!
8. WAYYY to many no balls! bowled 40+ in 4 tests.


Pros.

1. He can bat well as a number 9.
2. Strong out fielder.

thats it.

he needs to go back to state cricket and perform! needs to go back to basics and bowl line and length and keep it controlled and consistent. You see the strain on his face every time he bowls, thats just evidence that he's trying too hard!

so if i was a selector, Brett Lee would be on the out, and i would bring in a new Pace Bowler, or Stuart MacGill.

He's also up himself. We know for sure he will be dropped in the Sydney test. It won't be McGrath or Gillespi that they will drop. He will be dropped for MacGill in the Sydney test.
If he is dropped for the Melbourne test then Kasprowich or Bichel should be named. They can both bat and can take wickets. Lee can bat, but can't take wickets. My suggestion is use Bichel.

The mosy annoying part about the ******** is if in a State League match he got out Glenn McGrath he'd go sick and makes a ******** of himself

He gets out **** carters and then feels the need to jump 10 feet in the air and sledge them

I'm not particularly fond of him either. His two wickets today, well one was pretty lucky and the other was off a completely useless batsman. I'm not sure I would replace him just yet, tho.

He seems to me that the majority of his wickets are the tailenders that can't bat like Ntini and Hayward today and players like Bond in the series against NZ.

I agree that Bichel should come into the team as well for the Boxing Day test we would lose anything in batting he has first class 100s and can take wickets at test level as he showed in last years boxing day test admitedly it was only the windies but he still had to take them.

I still reckon we should try Macgill with Warne again - even in Melbourne (naturally Sydney). The guy could spin it on pitch made of glass. It's such as waste leaving him out of test cricket. His leg spin is also slightly different to Warnes which provides that little bit of extra variety. If there's no obvious bowler to replace Lee (and he's got to go) then why not Macgill?

MacGill is to much of a hit and miss bowler. For every good ball he bowls, he bowls a trash ball, but will always make his figures look good by going through the tailend.

So he is obviousbly very good at bowling to batsmen who are set, and is even better against batsmen who are well set, ie, 100+, which is a very good quality.

Instead of barating the guy, why dont we support him. He has the ability to be one of Australia's best bowlers, given the pace he can generate and the swing he gets at that pace, and he is only 24.

His average has also climbed since his early days. In England he was disgraceful and it was pitiful that he wasn't dropped. He has also yet to face the hardest sides, he didn't play in India and he will be tested this summer agaisnt South Africa.

WOW!!! What short memories you all have. Just because Brett Lee bowled badly in one innings means he should be dropped does it? If that's the case let's drop Steve Waugh (hasn't made a score all summer), or Adam Gilchrist (only got scores of 7 & 22 for the test), or what about Justin Langer (only got 1 in his second innings). Surely these players deserve to get the chop and try to find some form with their states.

While I agree that Lee bowled very ordinarily in the 1st innings in Adelaide, just remember he topped the wicket takers list against NZ.

In case you forgot, his stats for that series were:

Not bad figures if you ask me.

Also it was mentioned that his economy rate is at about 5 per over. INCORRECT. His actual economy rate 3.39 with it being just as good against NZ at 3.49.

I love the way he can intimidate batsmen and tailenders alike. It was fantastic to see Hayward and Ntini s*** themselves while facing him.

In the 9 tests since his comeback Lee has averaged 38.3 runs per wicket with an econ rate of 3.79 runs per over.

Neither are good enough for a strike bowler.

If it was Kasprowicz, Bichel, or any other fast bowler Aus has tried over the last 5 years they would be dropped after 1 or 2 matches of that crap, let alone 9.

Gillespies crap facial hair is about as daunting as facing Lee these days.

Well i think those stats are irrelivent, look at Warne, McGrath and Lillees wicket column.. OVER 300!

compare to the others below 100, so until the other bowlers (lee) gets 300+ wickets, then! we can compare..

We have supported him! ever since he debuted and till now! weve (ACB) been giving him chances, putting him in the 1stXI but his performance has really let us down, and dare i say it... YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK... GOODBYE!

No... Brett Lee hasn't just put in one ****ty performance... HE'S BEEN DOING IT SINCE HE INJURED HIS RIBS (or Something)! Since then he was been bowling full tosses or half pitch pies! He's lost his cool and been trying to bowl every batsmen out instead of making them play outside offstump taking edges.

Brett Lee doesn't intimidate, he bowls with his *****, whats the ****ing point bowling short pitch bullets at number 10's or 11's? Hit them in the head maybe cause injury!? no.. he should be getting their wickets by outsmarting, not by out flexing!

Now you all bloody go against him.When I posted something like this I was shut down.I have actually changed my mind though.Addmitedly his bowling has been nothing short of disgraceful since he did his elbow I cannot see anyone else with the potential to be a strike bowler after Mcgrath.We will need a new partner for Gillespie(who has injury problems) when Mcgrath decides to fininsh up.Who else is there Mitchell Johnson is a long way off.Bichel and Kaspa are good support bowlers but nothing more.Bracken is a pipe dream.We have nothin so our best option is to give this hack Lee a chance to turn it around which im fairly sure he is capable of doing.
