lol waite. Jamison actually could play forward if it came to it. He's a nice set shot kick and he's got good closing speed so i'd assume able to lead pretty well.

Jamo the forward pocket

Laugh all you want about moving Jamison forward. I for one think it would be good to develop his offensive side of the game. Our fullback of the century was more than handy at the other end. Kicked a few on Modra, Lockett and Dunstall too, playing from fullback!

But the real reason for the switch was that the Tiges only played 2 tall forwards. Thornton has become complacent playing the third or fourth tall behind Waite, Jamison and Bower. He may excel at the ring-a-rosy mopping up that frustrates some of our supporters but more often than not saves our bacon. But one-on-one he's a bit rusty and it showed against Vickery in the last quarter. The move also threw Hartlett in the deep end. He was better for the run. In previous years he played in the forward half. He looked unsure of himself, not knowing where to stand or lead when sharing space with Fev, Waite, Fisher, Whitnall and Kennedy. It's a confidence thing and yesterday he seemed to cope better with the tempo of AFL in the backline.

How dare he (Ratten) put the pressure on Hartlett and Thornton to see if either one of them could beat an 18 yo. when we were 6 goals up against a rabble.

Completely unreasonable to expect from either guy. Sack the coach. Just lunacy.

What's more, how dare Ratts break our Freo/Subi hoodoo.....how dare he coach us to 3/3 wins over the Lions (twice at the Gabba) when we have been their bitch for 8 years.......how dare he coach us to within a kick of the league leader, and to knock off the Dogs the last three times.

Anyone defending ratten's ridiculous last quarter of coaching has no idea.

He openly said in his press conference he tried to slow up the game. Why brett ratten?? Percentage this year is everything as neil craig said.

Did anyone what on the couch tonight. I wont mention that they said we would be filthy that we chose yarran over rich, but they openly said we are nothing without judd or fev. Ratten is nothing without either of these two.

They also said richmond's kicking cost them the game. Ratten was outcoahced by rawlings for godsake. This is a bloke that wont even get the richmond job.

I love brett ratten. I love his loyalty, but he is no future coach for our club.

Was it going with Morton & Riewoldt as the main forward targets when they had a promising youngster (Vickery) getting beaten in the ruck, or just sitting on the bench? He finally moved Vickery deep into the forward line when the game was over & he kicked 2 goals, both from good marks.

Was it allowing the very average Jackson to run with Judd for much of the first half, allowing Judd to set up many of our attacks? Or was it leaving Thursfeld one out with Fev in the 2nd quarter, allowing Fev to overcome his frustration & get some confidence back? All coaching master-strokes on the part of Rawlings.

I thought the masterstroke from Rawlings was having "Bling" as the defensive sweeper.
His superior decision making coupled with his pinpoint precision skills set up attack after attack..........albeit for us, but he was still influential.

HaHa good one! I seem to remember before Ratts was coaching us you could by a pie and sauce, a pint of milk and a packet of bullseyes for a half penny and still get change! But NOW...
