This guy is best remembered as the trainer of Cup heroine Jezabeel.
Has recently moved here & taken over as a private trainer down the peninsula.

Anyway, enough of the history lesson. His strike rate since moving is outstanding,8 winners from 18 runners I believe.

Last week he produced a 1st starter called Green Birdie in a maiden.
No money for it,ran $12 from memory, won like a very smart horse & ran time.Owned in the same interests as that speedy 2yo from last yr Dr Green.
Will be winning in town shortly on this performance so look out for it.

Also has Desert Master in at Sandown today going for 3 in a row.
Is white hot at the moment & when trainers get on a roll it usually pays to follow.

Seth.

Re: Brian Jenkins

Has Bird Dancer in at MV today.

Got it to win 1st up so must be going ok.

Seth.

Ran 2nd,looked home but run down late by a swooper.
$2.50 the place, something there at least.

Seth.

Has Showgirl in R8 Anzac Day at Flem
Needs further but has ability.
Think it may have run in Ade Cup last yr from memory.

Had to get there eventually.

Desert Master jogged in at Flem sat, heavily supported.
Has a big wrap on it,reckons it's a Spring horse.

i met brian jenkins earlier this year at the terang races on cup day!!
it was a privilege to meet such a great trainer!!
im confused why desert masters sire desert king is still only standing for $8,800...its ridiculous...its thrown makybe diva, desert war and now desert master....and its still so cheap
get a handy staying mare and breed a champion is a good idea!!:thumbsu:

Cheers for that,Green Birdie's in the Blue Sapphire Classic tomorrow.

Disappointing first try in town but looked a serious horse 1st up.

Brian was on 927 this morning.Said he expected Bird Dancer to run well.
Thought Green Birdie would be much improved for its last run.

Also has Showgirl in but said she was past her best although they were putting the blinkers on & planned to ride her forward.

Big tip tomorow at belmont race 8 number 1 dance to heaven been following it for a while should go around at about $4-5.

The tote Fluctautions for Showgirl are interesting.
With 4 hours before the jump she was $54
With 3 hours before the jump she was $43
With 2 hours before the jump she was $31
With 1 hour before the jump she was $38

Bird Dancer is early tote fav at $5.50 and Green Birdie is sitting around the $10.00

OH YEH!

Something there.

Cheers, hopefully a few regulars were on.

Brian martin's bitching about it losing at the $1.55 last start.
You just have to forgive horses one bad run,not that it was that bad.
Ran 3rd,not last.
How often does this happen,up they bob at $5+.

Always forgive them one run is spot on, especially when they are each way odds the next time around. History will also show that horses improve a lot when they have their second start at Caulfield. Plenty of reasons to back it today. Don't think I would have touched the $1.55 last time.
Not many horses win their first two starts of their career, let alone come to the city second up and win.

Great thread :thumbsu:

Had a bit e/w on Green Birdie, also have it in my quaddie.

Have Wildcoast, Hanna Rossa and Warshawsky in the next leg and then Bird Dancer in the last!

Good stuff! Only backed Bird Dancer of the two 'Birdies'
but have finished in front after backing Murray Downs aswell

Shame about R1 though :)
