What I find most 'interesting' about this news / speculation is what about all of the former Cats players who have been in supporting roles - they're basically only there because of their loyalty / respect for Macca. What will they do now?

Well they became dogs and dogs are loyal so they will return to their master (Geelong).

That hardness and asking for more is what makes a premiership team.

Really…. That surprises me. In actuality, if that is the case and I have no reason to suggest what you have said is not correct, then no bloody wonder he pissed them off. If he was going "softer" than when at KP, and they were still sooking about it, no wonder he got pissed.

The only ones who should be pissed off are Cook and the GFC. McCartney agreed a 3 year deal to run the Cats development program, and then decided on a whim to set up shop with Bomber as an assistant at the Bombers when the club was being pillaged. It's one thing to break a contract for a senior role, we all understand that. But to break one for an equivalent role, doesn't sit well. Costa and Cook never do business that way, and I'd suspect Macca's bridges might be burnt at Geelong.

Bring back Smithy and Scarlo instead.

YOU could do a better job as clearance coach, Macca would overachieve going from recent years.
