I doubt whether you need to be too focused on Browny. He has been average to be kind, lately. He will be double-teamed close to goal and his marks down the field will prove futile as we have no kicking option nearer to goal as Patfull will strongly mark but unfortunately spray.

That's even worse, if theres one thing Essendon does, its play out of form opposition players into top form. I'd rather he'd kicked 8 goals in the last 3 matches than be out of form!

This may be one from left field but why not play Lucas on Brown. To win the game we have to shut Brown down. With Lloyd back we still have enough options down forward.

Lucas destroyed Brown in our 2003 win at the Dome, but I'd rather he play forward. Let Mal have a crack. Brown has a bigger engine than him but to exploit it he'll have to get the ball outside the F50 which doesn't bother me too much.

It's a shame Henry Slattery won't be fit, would love to see him go about his stuff on Simon Black, the most under-rated midfielder in the competition.

Why he isn't mentioned with Judd, Kerr and Burgoyne astounds me.

1 difference, black doesnt kick as many goals/doesnt have the leg speed. commentators only respond to flair not genuine footy class at ground level.

Well let's hope SOMEONE can keep him to less that 5 goals. Highly unlikely though since Brisbane have a VERY good, and underrated midfield: Black, Power, Lappin, Rischitelli, Sherman, Hadley are just some that could (and probably will) kill us.

I think he would probably kick about 4 goals. He relies a lot on his strength to beat his opponents and Mal won't give him that. Most of his opportunities will come on the lead, so dependant on his kicking he will probably kick 2-6 goals. I would be surprised if he ends up kicking more goals on the night than Lucas.

I rate him with Kerr as the second best in the AFL.

Probably has the second best footy brain behind James Hird.
