Brock Lesnar was the best when he was around, his match with The Rock at Summerslam is my favorite match of all time, it told such a great story. The training videos they showed for the match were awesome too:

Never seen such a freakish athlete, I mean a man his size able to pull off a shooting star press is amazing (funnily enough the one he botched goes down as one of the most famous WM moments).

Greatness that feud was good but it was really short. It was probably one of the best "short feuds" of all time. Brock and Rock rarely were even in the ring together during the buildup which I think added to the match. I loved when Rock won some match on Raw and Brock's entrance music hit and he just walked past The Rock without even looking at him. That was a great touch.

On the other side of the scale the Lesnar vs. Goldberg WMXX match was horrible. Goldberg may be a dud in the ring but that match was one of the worst I've seen, you could tell they both weren't commited to the WWE/wrestling at the time.

When The Rock was at his peak he was slammed by internet smarks as a poor wrestler, but he was very underrated in this regard.

To me, a large part of what makes a great wrestler is the ability to "put over" and "sell".
The Rock was one of the best (and most humble) wrestlers when it came to these two things. He could and would sell to anyone, no matter how bad their style/gimmick/finisher - thereby putting them over, thereby promoting himself and the business.

His ability to tell the story, in and out of the ring, was also unsurpassed.

The guy was/is a great athlete and a true professional.

This is why I hate blind Cena bashers. Cena isn't good in ring but there is more to wrestling than the amount of flashy moves you have "omgz lolz0rz Ceena only has 6 moves!@!!!!!111111". Cena isn't in The Rock's level when it comes to selling or ring phsychology but he is still one of the best in this area currently in the WWE. He isn't the worst main eventer/champion in WWE history like people suggest.

I agree. I think he gets better all the time. Charismatic guy, good humour and can tell a story.

I think we were all spoilt for a long time there - we had Stone Cold, The Rock, Angle, Jericho, HHH, Taker, Benoit, Michaels, Guerrero, Foley etc.. all on one/two shows - that's a lot of talent crammed into two/four hours a week.

I watched his Wrestlemania XX match with Big Show recently, and the crowd LOVED him. When he was a heel the crowd loved him, and they forced a face turn. Then they got what they wanted and started bagging the crap out of him, because he got a massive push. watch the corwds turn on Carlito and Kennedy, as i think the same thing will happen with these 2.

let's face it though, the WWE isn't really about wrestling and standout matches. it's about characters and showmanship and extravagence etc.
i think cena shares a lot of similarities with the rock, in that they both have a great wrestling brain, know their limitations + strengths, and are passionate about what they're doing. being a superb wrestler in that company doesn't mean that much, but everything those guys did/do is important. that's why they're at the top.

The real story is that Brock Lesnar was Pi$$3d off about losing the title to Eddie Guerrero right before WM20 , he wanted to be in the main event so instead of being a fair guy and letting Eddie have the title he decided to have a sook and walk away from the WWE. That is the same reason why Goldberg left the WWE , he lost the title and had a cry.

No. They planned to move Brock back into the midcard and have him fued with Undertaker. Plus there were stories of him having issues with the travel schedule, so he bought himself a jet, which alienated himself from the roster.
