Just interested to know how highly Demons supporters rate him? I remember him being tagged out of the game numerous times last year, is this a weakness of his? or was this just because he wasn't 100%? Do you expect him to break through in '08? Also, will he be getting the number 1 tag every game in '08? Especially now that Trapper has come to us. :)
 
In all seriousness, he has been earmarked as the cornerstone of this football club. Some of us here were even unwilling to give him up in pursuit of Judd. It appears likely he'll get the #1 tag now, but this does not mean to say our on balling unit has fallen apart with the lose of Johnstone, it would be great to see Moloney and Sylvia really step up to the plate. Expect Jones to have a much bigger impact this season as well. His weakness it can be said is being tagged out of the game but people are quick to forget how young he is and it is something he'll eventually learn to cope with...Unlike, say, oh I don't know, Brett Deledio?:p
 
Yeah brock is highly rated on this site and many people seem him as Captain Davey said the cornerstone of the club moving forward. He displayes everthing that should make him the next captain, attitude and ability. He did struggle a bit when he came back last season but anybody that misses that much footy is going to lose fitness, he still managed to play a few good games. I dont think tagging will effect him although he will be effectively the leader of our young midfielder. The reason it wont effect him is because the way he plays, inside, its alot harder to tag these sorts of players.
 
Yeh i think in a couple of years our midfield will be built around McLean and Jones as they both look to become elite midfielders. I think McLean may get the number#1 tagger depending on whether Green and Bruce are playing in the midfield. But i think it really depends on what sort of form they are in if McLean cuts a team apart and has 30+ dispossials obviously the next game he is gunna get the NO#1 tagger but if he has a poor game the team may opt to tag some one else...:thumbsu:

There is no question as to how much he is rated on this board. He should step into the #1 midfielder role next year and be able to hold off the tags. We don't expect him to dominate every game next year but over the next few years he should step into the elite level of midfielders and have the captaincy as well.
 
Just wish he'd shirt front the motherferker out of someone, we play the Hawks round one yeah? Knocking the stuffing out of Luke Hodge would be nice:)

Id love to see Whelan hit Mitchell in a repeat of the Luke Ball massacre in round1 this year, he'd crumble like a sack of shit. :thumbsu:

Hopefully Brock, Wheels, Jones, Moloney link arms and do a 300 Sparta-like charge on the Hawks

hodge is suspended isn't he? i would rather Moloney do it cuz i wont care if he gets suspended :D Jones is looking pretty huge these days aswell(but wouldn't wanna risk him getting suspended)
