Massive unit!
Never really took that much notice of him when he was at Melbourne, but seeing him first hand at training yesterday, we certainly have found that midfield workhorse we have been looking for. Doesn't hurt that his kicking skills were very sharp also.

Yeh that's good news HBF, I reckon he;s gonna be a good pickup.

I was so worried about throwing our pick away for him . Because i felt the we needed talls for the future (because of fevs age) , but then we got hendo and pick 12 and now things are looking pretty rosie indeed , especially now that brocks looking the goods.. And i was sick of fevs sh*t ..

Does Hoops look more of a tank to anyone else? He looks hugh in that pic 13 in the middle folder.

What like Hugh Grant? :p:D

He's actually been pretty big for the past few seasons yet continues to contest like a petal.

Hopefully he goes straight into the leadership group :thumbsu:

I always thought Stevens was the weakest of our midfield "fab 4" and we needed that someone extra to make it the best midfield in the comp.

McLean does this!

Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, McLean > Ablett, Corey, Bartel, Selwood?

Hope so :p

THS - Interested in your glowing comments about the condition of both Brock and Houla. Do you detect a new energy or dynamic at CFC this year? If so why?

Cheers

Perhaps the level of professionalism and focus has gone up half a notch ?

Bigger, stronger and fit enough to win our time trials. Great start to his career at Carlton.

In regards to the time trial, I heard that Brock caught up to Juddy near the main entrance to The Legends Stand, and basically sat with him for a while, and then took off just as they round the corner onto Royal Parade.

hmm thats not really impressive actually, I expected the hulk after reading thread title

Seeing him at training, he looks to me like he's slimmed down quite a bit and toned up. No matter what, he's in exceptional condition. Fingers crossed he can stay fit and healthy.

Our players especially our senior players are determined to take themselves up a noth this year.
Scotto has taken a real leadership role and taken Yazza under his wing.
He is training the house down.. and has the lowest skinfold results in his life.
His times are his best ever.
And he is dragging Yarran with him.. whether its running or boxing.
And he is giving Yarran a pretty good workout by all reports.

We will need the older players to do exactly that if were going to take that next step next year.

Eddie came back abit over... but thats way under for Eddie coming back and he will lose that immediately... as compared to other years where he was miles off it..

he got 17/1 in the beep test at the first week back of training.

only Walker beat him at 17/5 (which is a correction of another post in which i incorrectly said 17/4) which is on par with the australian record set by Robert Harvey.

THS That is really good news about Scotto and his leadership. If he can steer Yarran into developing a real focus in his footy we will witness the emergence of one of the truly brilliant AFL talents in 2010. I think the lack of leadership by senior players was perhaps the biggest downfall of our team last year, not to specifically mention the disruptive influence of Fev.

Thanks

He does look big and it's great to hear that he's working hard.
However, has anyone else heard that he's been a little outspoken at the club? I was told that he in essence told Murphy that he will be pushed out of the midfield becuase he's now there and Judd that he's Twigley's property or something along those lines. Just a rumour to get to Carlton fans?

That's good to hear that Scotland has taken Yaz under his wing. I was wondering how Scotland would be travelling given he was pretty good mates with Stevens and Fevola.
