Need a little advice from people who have had broken fingers and returned to footy.
Ive recently received 3 fractures and torn ligaments to my right middle finger in the middle joint, attempting and successfully may i add, smothering a shot on goal.
After getting X-rays, CT scans and whatnot, ive been advised a 4-5 week minimum footy return date from a hand surgeon.
He has advised that I will need to wear the splint for the rest of the season when I do come back and play and advised me of the possible need to purchase a glove for protection.
Now, i'm not one to ever consider wearing a glove, cause frankly i think it is one of the most w***erish things seen on a footy field, but i'm willing to if it will help the finger.
How have other people come back and played after a bad finger break and what precautions were taken?
cheers
