I can't see Didak polling 3 votes in rnd 21 as he was reported. He was BOG (absolutely killed the Blues that match) but I don't feel the umpires will reward him with the votes due to the report. I guess we will find out tonight.

I absolutely agree with you, but the voters in the BF Medal (including myself) thought he was best on ground for the match, and therefore was awarded the 3 votes in that system. It is expected to be against him no doubt.

Does tonight prove that Danyle Pearce is/was better then Heath Shaw this year. Maybe in the future too? Curious question.

I didn't think there would be any discussion about Pearce being better than Shaw, because Pearce was bloody fantastic this year, (as was Heater). The debate was H Shaw vs A Raines (which no matter what argument was presented, by Tiger fans or Anti-Collingwood fans, Shaw would win hands down). Tonight adds further to the debate, that 6 is better than 3 ;)

BTW - Here is the 2006 Leaderboard

11 - B Johnson, D Swan
9 - P Licuria, S O'Bree
6 - H Shaw
5 - N Buckley
4 - A Rocca, J Clement, A Didak
2 - L Davis, J Fraser, C Tarrant*, S Wakelin
1 - G Richards, R Lonie, T Cloke

Congrats to Heath Shaw, Dane Swan, Travis Cloke, Guy Richards and Ryan Lonie for all polling their first career votes tonight.

But Raines played on Riccutio.
And Pielebo anything could happen in the future, brownlow votes in 2006 won't determine who's the better player. Let's not forget it is a midfielders medal and midfielders get noticed easier.
Who cares if Pearce is better than Shaw? As long as Shaw is good I don't care if Pearce wins 5 Brownlows.

Fair enough. Of course the result of this years Brownlow wont determine the future. But obviously, we always want to have the best players. And to be honest, Im competitive, I want Heater to be better then Pearce. I want nothing short of outstanding at Collingwood.
A quick congratulations must go out to Shane O'Bree, tonight showed he worked pretty hard for the club this year. Dont know what the future may hold though...

It was a very exciting count, but I got sick of Demetri-extended pause-ou towards the death.

Taken from this season and last, if Kerr manages to get through the season without suspension he is the man. The umpires love him.

Congratulations to Goodes - definately deserving of the medal.

Happy to see 'craig' Johnson was well recognised by the umpires for his season.
