Lawyers dont protect fairness. THey protect the interests of those that pay them. Mostly that means that they protect the interests of those with money. This narrative that you're pushing doesnt happen in reality.

This is correct. Those with more money have more law available to them. For example, this is how someone like George Pell can get an appeal hearing in front of the High Court, and win, while the average schmuck under the same set of facts rots in jail.
