So its Brownlow 2012 tonight. Who will be our top poller? I've been interested to see that in the majority of the "Best Player" awards from the various media outlets, in Victoria at least, no single Eagle ranked that high. Most times not even in the top 10 or 20. I actually expect Kerr to poll rather well.

Scooter would be pushing it to be getting votes after round 7 or so really. Can't see him topping the team.

Kerr had about 4 games where he was pretty clearly best on, so I'd say Kerr from Cox (just going on what I recall).

Kerr had 9 games with about 30 or more touches. He has polled well in the past. Cleaned his act up too in the last 2/3 seasons so I expect him to poll well again.

More importantly, which of our players has had the most games with out any votes and are they are chance to pick up any.
Scooter has no votes, he's played 87 non-finals games including this year. He'll definitely poll a few this year.

Butler has no votes, he's played 82 non-finals games including this year. Only game I think he could poll in is the Collingwood game near the end of the season. Probably won't though.

Mackenzie has no votes, he's played 74 non-finals games including this year. Don't expect him to poll despite having some really good lock-down games.

McGinnity has no votes, he's played 59 non-finals games including this year. Don't see him polling.

very surprised those two have never secured votes, especially Scooter. I would've thought being Joel's younger brother would have helped get some attention in his formative years.

He'll definately post some this year, particularly early on. Purely on form was in the best ten players in the comp through the first two months.

But yeah he won't top our polling i don't think. It usually takes a year or two for the votes to start rolling in for a guy. Look at Josh Kennedy (Swans) only polling three votes last year.

AFL.com.au Brownlow predictor says: 13 Priddis, 11 Scooter 10 Nic Nat 9 Kerr, Shuey, Cox

0 votes Darren Glass (AA Captain) :p

Ablett Favourite to win and is 7th with 23 votes (with the highest being 30 votes)

Priddis - why the long odds?

$251 for the brownlow tonight ... Seems long odds for a successful year, only
Missed 2 games, stats look impressive, why no chance ? I didn't get to see a lot of west coast this year but very highly rate priddis over the years.

so you didnt see him play but think his odds should be better? hmmmm

he just isnt as impressive as many other midfielders. if he made AA then it might be better. but he always polls well. he 20 or so votes last year.

As I said ... Stats were impressive and didn't miss many games so $251 seems very long compared to
Others in the same pay bracket

No love for Shuey? Polled 12 votes last year, so caught the umpires eye?

Will definitely be in consideration:
Rd 2 - chance for minor votes
Rd 3 - 3 votes
Rd 6 - chance for minor votes
Rd 9 - after Rosa should poll
Rd 14 - likely 3
Rd 20 - outside chance for minor votes
Rd 22 - outside chance for minor votes

Probably have him at about 10-12 votes.

I expect Daniel Kerr to easily poll the most votes for our club though that didn't stop me from putting some money on Dean Cox at 151/1. NicNat could be a surprise vote getter.

I generally think an outsider will win the Brownlow tonight. I just wish I knew who....maybe Josh Kennedy.

My tardiness has come to bite me. Loved the look of Sammy Mitchell at $31(!) last Friday.
Was then $11 last night but still I procrastinated and now i've got on him at $5.75 ffs.

Also a cheeky $20 on Dangerfield as a bit of a smokey($8), goalkicking burst midfielder ftw.

$10 on Boyd for top 5 ($10) too, normally polls well.

As for our boys, surely Kerr will be top of our group.
