I thought Browny lairised a bit too much tonight and could have given off about three goals instead of trying to boot them himself (and missing). But its good to see him getting his mojo back. :thumbsu:

Thought he played really well and looked very good when he had the ball but definetly agreed with OP.

Played very well but as you said, could've given off quite a few goals. One thing that shat me was in the first quarter when Edwards was having a set shot 45 out, and Browny called for it in the pocket. Of course a young player is going to pass it to Browny if he asks for it, and we ____ed it up and it went out.

tried to be a bit of a smart a_ss on a couple of occassions and failed...didnt need to grubber that ball in 2q had space to run in and nail it...then in last qtr should have run straight in instead he attempted goal of the year getting around a couple of players...anyhow a great game 22 possies 3g 4 ...He's in top form right now ...we're every chance v swannies next week:thumbsu:

yeh couple of times he just held onto it too long and put him self in awkward positions where he was never gunna kick the goals! just held onto the pill a bit long i reckon.
But his efforts tonight were really promising!!, actually put in the hard yards to get the ball and actually defended a bit too

Honestly I don't mind a bit of cockiness from him, it means he is confident and back to his old self, he will be told during the week no doubt about his little selfish errors, but if Browny is confident then all must be good with him.

I think the coach should give him a massive kick up the bum for his 'lairising' tonite - cost us at least 2-3 goals. What would we be saying if we had lost by a point?

I'm glad someone else picked up the lead when Edwards was 40 out straight in front. Even if he had marked it he would have been in no better a position. Commentators totally ignored it - but Browny is one of their favorites and can do no wrong.

But still, he played well the rest of of the game.

Browny's gone 'banana kick' mad.....what's with that?

yeah that was rubbish because he had a couple of players in the square and he should have hanballed it off. He should have been dragged for that. He was playing with the same cockiness he had in that interview with cotchin. There were 3 selfish things he did in the first half and I think he had the chance to handball to Cotchin twice for a goal but he selfishly went for goal of the year. Cotchin must honestly think Browny is a w***er

Very selfish last night. Was disappointed in his game. He was running into an easy goal down the City end and decided to make life harder for himself.

Also, once again to the city end, he passed it across the ground to Richo when Tambling provided a fantastic lead which he in turn would have slotted.

I think some of you guys are missing the point.

Brownies cockiness is back means his confidence is back aswell.

Welcome back Brown :thumbsu:

Wanted to say the same thing. He is back and that can only be a good thing for the team :thumbsu:

couldve and shouldve given off 3 goals, was very selfish and you expect more from a "leader".

i saw one where he should have hand balled off to cotchin and missed the goal and i got really angry coz cotchin would have goaled but was good to see him on fire

While this is true, his loveable cockiness turned into slopiness after a while which wasnt good to see at all.

I had $10 on him at 10-1 for most goals so if the b****** didnt muff so many up i'd have a couple of extra honeycombs in my pocket this week!

Nice to have him winning some ball again though.

yeah agree. thought a few of our players started to try and play "superstar" footy after it was obvious we were right on top. Was almost glad essendon came back just to shove it up our blokes for counting chickens way too early

I agree with this and against essendon is a good game for him to give it a go without too many consequences, but he'll need to involve others a bit more against the better clubs. But i think he'll always have a bit of lair in him so as you said its a sign his confidence is back

I was thinking the same thing (except not about being glad essendon came back). It was a bit like the Bulldogs game all over again. Luckily we had built up a lead which we were never going to give up against a team as bad as the bombers, and the boys came back again in the last. They still need to develop the assassin mindset.

Thanks for spelling out the bleeding obvious to a lot of idiots.

Brown is one of 2 genuine match winners in our team. And jesus there are some tools on this board.

GUES WHOS BACK, BACK AGAIN!!
GUESS WHO'S BACK !!!BROWNY!:)

lol bit selfish, but otherwise great performance
and 1980, i saw that too ,i was about 20m away ,that wasnt a good decision from the man

i think he should play against melbourne..( just incase..)...

Ahhhh those flukey goals. When they come off you are a freak and a hero when they don't you're selfish and cocky. On Saturday it was a bit of both.
Did you ever see the great KB give one off?
