Injuries did finish his AFL career. His body couldn't handle the rigours of another AFL preseason and season.

That wasnt the reason he gave for retiring. and didnt he go on and play for the magpies the next couple of seasons? If he had chronic injuries you wouldnt play SANFL footy for fun. The inital point was that he was cut down by injuries, but you can see from his games played that this simply isnt the case. If he was a AFL level talent he played plenty of games to make it.

Beinke was nothing more than a good average undersized AFL marking fiorward - trapped in a body that was just too short for the role that he was best at playing in the SANFL.

He was too slow to play elsewhere, and too short to really make it.

2 to 3 inches taller and he would have been a top player - but he wasn't.

What ever happened to him?
I saw a few games played by him, where he kicked a bag of goals, 5 goals.
He seemed to be a damaging player in his time but he never got a run with the Crows, and he stopped playing Footy when he was 25-26 years old.

What is he doing now?

damn thats a name i ain't heard for a while.....such a blast from my past...he was my year 9 sose teachers best mate. he was at my school every couple of weeks, and he was sposed 2 get a pic of me and matthew bode signed for me and never gave it back. he's married last time i heard.

Big stinky definently had his moments. When we lacked forward options he stood up. Could hold a mark very well. I feel he played taller than what he was.
