still hasent signed with the dogs and said he wont think about it till the end of the year ? should we have a crack at him since presti will be gone soon . i dont think we need kerr or ball tho

The rumour is that Sydney are going to offer him a 4 year, $2 Million + deal, which we probably couldnt match, so we would have next to no chance of getting him.

Seems the Doggies want to keep him, and he wants to stay, but that their salary cap is quite tight, and they are now asking some players to take pay cuts.

I personally hope he stays at the Dogs, I'd prefer Sydney to stay down for a while and if we can't have him, I hope he stays where he is.

If the rumours are wrong though about Sydney, yeah, have a crack at him, well worth a first round draft pick.

hes worth much more than our 1st rounder... hes only 27 isn't he?

clubs just are not willing to part with enough to get trades over the line. he woudl be worth our first rounder and a good young KPP prospect. Maybe a Dawes / Reid type. otherwise the dogs would tell us to keep dreaming.

if we got him it sort of wastes the development of some of our young blokes.

we have put in 3 years into ben reid, and you would hope he is a ready made at chb with nate brown to fb - post presti and leeroi brown. slot lake in and we may as well trade ben reid, and keep nate at chb...

not only this but we would have to pay through the nose for him financially prob 400k +....and to top it all off give up our first round pick + god knows what else, they would want daisy or sharrod i would think...

too much disruption to a team that has gotten top 3 by unearthing our own gems i say...

Sydney will have plenty of spending money this year with no Hall, Micky O, Crouch, Fosdike, Barry et al taking up room on the salary cap and with Goodes & Jude Bolton eligible to transfer to the veteran's list.

Not at all surprised they'd be rumoured to be after any number of players.

I don't think he'll leave.

He would be handy down back for us but I wouldn't be willing to give up anyone for him.

I'm really liking the look of our list atm.

Totally agree, more then happy with the way our list is progressing :thumbsu:

Im happy to go for a bloke like Salapek which is worth atry and would come cheap

I dont want to spend all we have to get Lake we are really drafting well might aswell keep going with it one more Mid and a Key defender will be very nice

If what I hear about Salopek is true, we don't want him at the club.

I'm happy or us to sit the trade period out, unless we upgrade a pick with someone like Stanley.

MrLukey.. first it's Roughead, than it's Pav, than it's Kerr, than it's Luke Ball, than it's Brian Lake? The Pie's must have alot of room in their salary cap if they were considering all those blokes!

Hes only throwing up names and scenarios for discussion mate and is obviously not the head of recruiting, we enjoy it so piss off to your own board and jerk off to your Chris Yarran threads.
