is buckley good enough to win a brownlow, i think he is but whether or not he can poll the votes is another question

youve certainly got to evaluate the brownlow voting if buckley year after year dosn't really come close after having a stella season, and its not as if he has had many players over the last 4 yrs to take votes away from him playing in the same side

Its a Brownlow thread..... you are welcome to introduce Goodes into the argument.....AFL Board

After last year's GF Normsmith medal fiasco, Nathan will win this years Brownlow by a horses length........actually by the length on his wide receives.

I'm stoked, got on buckley at 16's. Hopefully it'll be a nice collect but time will tell. 2 rounds does not make a season. I remember Hocking was deserving of a brownlow, so too bradley, even though he never got a hardball get in over 350 games. Too find space like he did though was sheer brilliance. Good part for bucks is he actually gets in and earns his kicks, 50/50 anyway.

Just a stat for you Buckley has more brownlow votes over a career than any other current player.
Amazing how many more he would have had if he didn't get jibbed so many votes by the white maggots.

is buckley good enough to win a brownlow,
Are you from this galaxy mate?

Of course Nath's good enough! It's just a matter of whether the umpires are astute enough to vote for him...and 'umpires' and 'astute' are two words which don't really go together very well!

He close to leading at present with 4 or 5 votes and he has a high career average votes. He is definately good enough but probably costs himself a few votes every now and then by mouthing off to the umpires. He alwys starts the season well so it is not fair to say this year is any different to any other. being a fitness freak he starts every season in better shape than most players. that helps him start the year strongly. In recent years he has over trained IMO and has suffered for it with some soft tissue injuries and he has lost some zing at times. He is still the most consistent long term player playing. He's been near his peak for 10 years.

BTW, moving this thread to the Collingwood board is **** weak. Get a grip moderators. Buckley is as high profile as there is. If it was Carey would it be moved?

I have him as Brownlow favorite, even though he has never been a fav of mine I believe this is his year!

It maybe his last chance.

Good stuff MODS the biggest name in the game (football wise)
moved?
Mention the words McGuire/Buckley on the AFL board it will be atleast a 10pager.
Although you are trying to free up the server load i spose;)

He wasn't good enough to win the Norm Smith, but he won it, so anything's possible.

Your not bitter are you, Summer.
Maybe it's just the change in weather - LOL.

Next you'll post that Ablett wasn't worthy in 1989.

Clearly better judges than yourself thought otherwise.

I myself, thought it would go to Voss - simply for inspiring his team to victory.
But Buckley "did" beat Voss. I know this must be hard for you to accept, Summer....
