Was surprised at how well he did. Honestly I thought he'd be all over the shop but did some nice field kicks and didnt seem to lose it under pressure. Good game, hope he can string a few together.

Some of his disposals were incredibly damaging. He also seemed more composed than he has in the past. Had him in our top 5. Hopefully he keeps it up.
Not sure what game you were watching?
His lack of concentration when Turtlewood handpassed to ottens resulted in an important goal. I admit it was a poor run with attempt by Wood, however it should never have happened.
Kicked to a contest on a number of occasions instead of picking the spare man out downfield. I was at the game right behind the goals so i had a good view of this.
Played his part however but Top 5?

Agreed it shouldn't have happened but he wasn't by himself with concentration efforts last night - or this year. Team is going at about half ratpower ATM and with Brown and Maxwell out there was considerably less maturity for him to lean on/ learn from than is normal. Did some very nice things and some ordinary, far from a walk up start in the best 22 but for a kid learning his way in the AFL against a heavily experienced, mature bodied team who were pressing with a point to prove I feel he was far from disgraced unlike some senior players who aren't the point of this thread. Not sure what game you were watching?

Yeah Dane a man without any real penetration is a lonely lonely manPlayed very well. His leg is a real weapon and it'll be vital when breaking down the oppositions forward press. Someone who can penetrate (that's what she said) with their kicks is a must.

He hand passed it over to Steve Johnson who kicked the goal, not Ottens.
Agreed escO that's for sure suppose it comes down to a case of managing the game time needs of developing but raw performers with points/percentage position. We have the enviable position of 30+ AFL level or near AFL players to manage, they all need game time at the top level.Hmm ok i assumed it was Ottens as Wood was jogging behind him. Anyway its not the point of who kicked etc but Buckley was caught off guard.
And Jonbe54 your right he has potential but i would like to see more awareness on the field. Those brain farts can cost us.
