Buckley spent half an hour on the bench Sunday. I do not agree with this and hope Mick changes his tactics.....

Although the Blues did not mount a strong challenge and we were assured of a win, percentage will really matter in our push for the top 4. We should not be resting our elite players for extended periods.

I think Buckley has a really good chance to win it this year and it might be stolen off him by our coach.......( I do like MM, just frustrated with some of his rotations...........)

I to get frustrated by some of MM's tactical moves(ie.jason cloke being played in forward line and then being omitted the following week for poor performance) but bucks being put on the bench is not one that is of any concern.Buckley was not at his best and occasionally is prone to being dragged. And the brownlow,im sure that neither nathan or MM give a damn about someones individual award. We are in with a GF chance again this year and im sure the brownlow has yet to enter either of thier thoughts. It would be great for bucks to be finally given the medal but i think us fans are more worried about it then he is.At the end of the day Nathan wants a premiership not a brownlow.

On that basis we should not have had the week off when we went to Darwin.

Is it more important to have the best player in the club fit and well for the finals? or is it better for him as an idividual to win the Brownlow?
Ask Bucks what he would prefer.

MM didnt just rest Bucks, he rotated/rested the entire midfield at different points throughout the game.
I would have thought that, that makes MM a very good coach who has a hard finals campaign in mind.

When you have a game against ordinary opposition under control like that it makes perfect sense to rest a player who runs his guts out every week. A fresher Buckley will play beter next week and over the rest of the season anyway but also giving others a run in the middle makes a lot of sense. I hope we are in a similar position next week and Burns and Tarrant get a good rest while Cole runs in the middle and Holland gets a gig up forward. We have to keep options viable. Buckley, Burns and Tarrant are vital to Collingwood's chance of winning a premiership and everything else is just a sideline. We are not here for Brownlows and Colemans we are here for premierships. I would even be tempted to rest a few players next week. Burns out for Scotland would be a handy move long term IMO.

I know it seems sometimes that micky is going mad with some of the moves that he makes but hes not stupid and he knows wat hes doing.....id put my trust in him any day, in the scheme of things it all makes sense in the end

Who cares if he wins a brownlow. I want to win a flag. And we cant do that if hes overworked and flat out exhausted come September.

It would soooooooooo great to see a Bucks win a much deserved Brownlow but I am sure it would give him 1000 times more pleasure to win a premiership medal with 21 other players.
