IMO Buddy was more value than Scarlet. Although he onle kicked two, and he gave one to Willo. I believe the real value to the team was the respect Scarlet showed him by not leaving his side when in the 50 arc. Scarlet sets up so many Geelong goals with his run through half-back and centre. There were only glimpses of this on Saturday, so for me the points go to Buddy.

BTW, I haven't seen the "How many days since ..." for some time. I thought some Hawk fan would've given it a BUMP. I would if I knew how.

Thanks Hawks for our tenth flag. Unfortunatelt this is the first I haven't seen live, but the DVD will get hammered.

Go Hawks in '09.

Scarlett held him well all day. What it did allow was to take franklin's impact away but since our forward line has such depth we were able to find various other paths to goal. Franklin did a few 1 percenters but he was well held. Delivery to Franklin wasn't great for the most part but that's a credit to Geelong. Was a good contest but unfortunatly for geelong williams, roughie, dew, rioli etc were there to make there own mark on the game

He got 2 and assisted with 3

Gave a "diving" free away to Scarlett which was kickable

and a few minutes later was clearly held by Scarlett no free.

One on one he beat him just couldnt get one on one often enough

Did stop Scarletts run though

Buddy drew cats defenders like bees to honey. Job Done.

Without underestimating his contribution, by his own very lofty standards, and the expectations of many fans - he had a very quiet day. Given the chance again, he will tear the opposition a new ar$ehole in the next GF he appears in.

Ive never seen any player more at the mercy of the bouncing ball than Buddy appeared on Saturday. I think one of the commentators mentioned something to that effect. Given that the ball was doing its best to avoid him (and the umpires to rort him), he still did amazingly well.

May it be the first of many Buddy,

Cheers.
