I know I havent been on here for awhile, my computer has been down. But I am back, and I thought I would lead off with my Buddy report on Licca!!!

Welcome Back Licca!!!

Great to see you running around in the back and white again. I thought his game last night was very servicable. He only had 6 clangers which I think is a big improvement.

I thought he did a very good job on Goodes. Yes Goodes had 23 disposals himself, but Licca wasnt on him all night. But When he was, I thought he did a good job.

He finished the game with 17 disposals, 2 Outof50, 2 Into50, 5 marks, 3 clearences, 5 frees against(brilliant tackle on Bazza Licca!!! Thought it was awesome!!!), no frees for, 5 tackles.

Was fantastic to see you back Licca!!!

Not much else I could say!!! Unless I kept saying welcome back and he is hot!!! Blah blah blah!!! But I dont think people want to hear that!! hehehehehe!!!

had a chat to him yesterday
he seem very confident and is very pumped up

ryan lonie seemed happy with his progress..and a few more good weeks for willi he will come straight in

Paul Medhurst
Paul was fantastic. He didn’t actually play forward all day, he was moving out of the midfield as well. He had 23 possessions as well. He said to me after the game it was probably his highest possession rate, and combining that with his forward duties as well, to kick 4.2, have 23 touches and have a few clearances, by game’s end, with about five minutes to go, he could hardly lift his legs, so I think he’s had a pretty good hit out. - Brad Gotch.

Heath Shaw

The great man himself may say his game on Saturday Night was his personal best...and I would agree. I truly believe his game was as good as ANZAC Day. In Sydney, your not going to get 30 touches. Shaw had 16 to 3/4 time before calf problems and his importance on the ground was shown Judd-like, as once he went off...Sydney crawled back.

His game wasn't brilliant for the individual brilliance that he can supply, but his team game and workmanship shone. His one percenters were highlighted with importance by the media...and there were many more.

i) His shepherding was seen from a distance..an important team stat;
ii) His tackling was very good..v Goodes it was a huge tackle, and v Bolton it was just as good;
iii) Pressure he applied was as good as any on the ground in the black and white. He has also become intimidating which helps.
iv) Leadership...there were a couple of shots of him yelling out to team-mates and he gets that respect.
v) Courage...a couple of times against flight of ball getting hands on and causing a contest, always seen with Heath
vi) That tap...away from O'Loughlin, wasn't highlighted during the game, but the 5th quarter had a speak about it and its importance to unsettle O'Loughlin
vii) Brain...the Jolly run, he was left one out with Jolly in the goalsquare, a Paul Roos strategy. It wasn't Mick who finished that solid play from Roos...it was Heath Shaw on the ground, as he sprinted 150m to the attacking goalsquare, before Roos had to pull the plug on his tactic.
viii) Skills...his kicking was sublime early on in the game...the pass to Rocca in the first term was simply orgasmic.

I had pick #8 or so and I wasn't a mod back then but Egan is a bit of a cult hero to me. I picked him ahead of Pendlebury I think.

Cole > Dal Santo board

...actually, when you think about it...that is almost literally similar :p
