Apparently has a 2 year deal on the table since trade period from dogs

The unrestricted free agent KPD wanted out last year but held to contract

Does he leave at years end?
If he keeps playing then the 2 year offer simply isn't enough, it will get dwarfed by other teams.

We have plenty of cap room so if he holds his spot in the team, I can't see him leaving.

He's always loved the club but just wanted more oppurtunity to play his preferred role in a stable situation. Buku has the oppurtunity so it's up to him now.

If Ginbey ends up fully committed to being a second tall KPD then I could see us throwing some cash at Buku. Edwards concussion issues are only getting worse. Brock is alright but if he keeps playing like he did on Friday then Buku is an easy upgrade

Buku is probably looking at 600k X 3 at this point in time. I'd imagine that he's looking at who will offer him a fourth.

To play as a number 1 defender? He does very well in the intercept role but can struggle when isolated.

“the much-improved Buku Khamis’ management is reportedly in talks with the Bulldogs over a long-term extension.

Dogs are in talks with his manager Ray Purcell — he loves the joint; it’s not going to go sideways.“

Man, this bloke dodged a massive bullet when the Dogs held him to contract.

Perhaps a lesson for both club and player that the grass isn't always greener.

Thanking his lucky stars that Carlton offered basically what we'd get for compensation if he left the end of this year as a FA.
