According to Matt Burgen we are picking up
1. Matthew Kruezer
36. David Gourdis
45. Sam Reid
Passing on our last pick

Looks good to me, I'd be rather happy with this on draft day
I just cant believe Gourdis/ Gaertner are going so late...every1 has them early

would take that in a heartbeat. Though I doubt Gourdis would slide that far, I have him at a 12-25 spot - I can see Sydney using their 2nd pick with him actually.

That'd be a magnificent effort to land those 3 players. Can't see Gourdis falling that far, although Reid could, but I think he'll go somewhere between 36 and 46

Did anyone else notice where he wrote that, although we were looking at Dunn, we are now 'talking to an uncontracted player' re PSD. Any news on who this could be? :thumbsu:

I've heard rumblings from people in the know. Word is they are trying to pull a Mal Michael with a recent retiree. Looooooooong way from anything remotely sorted however.

My rumblings are telling me how dead right you are and a Carlton Board exclusive I will name the player. Adrian Deluca will make a comeback to the club after retiring due to Kennedy trying to 'get him back'. With the departure of Kennedy, Deluca will make a swift come-back.

Hopefully it's Cam Howat:thumbsu: I can just imagine him in a blues top.

WA based poster at another site I visit reckons both Gourdis and Rance are criminally overrated.

Rates Notte higher than these two and also rates the Garletts, Jacky and Miles quite highly. Also says Morton may need more off field minding than Cousins.

Its always hard to see on BF as people can tend to all adopt a similar view on where a player should go. Burgertron's Phantom draft is more accurate due to the fact that he is not subject to such and actually has a good idea of how particular clubs rate the players.

For example almost none of the Phantom drafts on BF had Boak in the top 20 yet he went at 5 and Burgo had him at 7.

Are you sure?

HBF and Gilly... where did you guys have Boak last year?

Weaver on Gourdis:

5. Bulldogs - Dave Gourdis

Gourdis is the best key position player in the draft and certainly the best tall forward prospect. Dogs remain desperate for a marking option and Gourdis' style which is as a hit-up CHF like Tarrant will probably sit well with a team that likes to run. Gourdis is quick off the mark and has a huge motor. He is well built and an improving and long kick. He is a safe selection because even if flops up front he has a long career down back. That pace off the mark is the key. Lets him get separation on backmen, and gives him closing speed when he is defending. Unlike a few of the other touted bigmen he can actually kick a goal and finish-off his good play, but isn’t a selfish forward. Will coach-up well.

Is Gourdis the raw bloke who is new to the game? Or am I thinking of Smouha or Putt? Or am I wrong on both accounts lol?

Also what do people think about Reid? I don't follow the kids at all, but I make a special effort to read up about them on here, and whilst i've heard lots about plenty of the blokes named around Reid's pick on Burgo's draft, I can't remember hearing much about Reid at all
