To be fair, when in form Burton can be a gun wingman. Just turn your mind back to the second half of 2003 season when we was regularly getting his 30 touches on the wing and actually using them. He was getting tagged later on in the year. However, since birdbrain is not a natural footballer in takes him a good month to month and a half to get into form. I would have no problem with him playing on the wing IF he repeats his form of 2003 BUT that is one mighty big if:(
Stiffy, I can't believe I'm reading this...

BTW, I want to keep the Birdman, as I like his unpredictability, given even he doesn't even know what he's going to do next!

Not sure about the brain part but yes Biglands is a huge bloke but he does not have the skills, stamina or agility that premier CHFs like Tredrea, Riewoldt and Brown possess.

To me Burton has gone from Birdman to Turdman

1. He plays dumb non-team football and tries to turn the simplist of tasks into a spectacular plays.

2. His disposal by foot is one of worst in the side, noone burns the ball like Burton.

3. He crashes over the top of packs trying to take speccies he holds about 1 out of about every 15 that he flies for, it usually ends up hurting us because the opposition most times takes the ball away.

4. He decision making is really poor and he doesnt have a football brain, there are times when he tries for a mark when he should punch and times when he punches when he should have marked. They have happened too often to be isolated incidents.

Its a shame because he does have some talent and his aerobic ability is unmatched in the side, we just have to find the style and position where his negatives dont hold him back. Possibly up forward could be an option.

Nothing like having one of your players going for an easy mark only to be taken out by another one of your players going for a needless specky, and to rub salt into the wound, the opposition then goes on to score a goal.

You have summed up beautifully one of Turdman's worst attributes.

hahahahahahaha

Where do you get this idea? When you consider that Biglands is part of our ruck divison which is close to the worst in the AFL for around the ground possessions and marking. I honestly fail to comprehend how he could go from taking one or two marks a game and have little or no influence around the ground in the ruck to a 10-13 marks a game player at CHF.
