Bus Sharing

OK - I got my DVD burner, whacked it into PC where CD burner used to be.

I also have a DVD-ROM in the PC case.

When I tried to copy a disc on the fly ... device to device, the pc tells me it cannot do this when the two devices share the same bus.

How can I copy discs using the two devices rather than having to copy to HD first ???

Open up your computer, unplug the IDE cable from the DVD burner and plug an IDE cable from somewhere else into it.

You want the DVD-rom and the hard drive on one bus, and the DVD burner on a different one.

If that doesn't make sense, go to a professional.
