hmmmm.... interesting read that one.

I remember the old days at Carlton & I remember Leo at the club.....
used to have chats with him all the time when I was at carlton training.
He was a lovely man. I never knew the Moran boys were relo's of his....

you learn something new every day ;)

Not sure if this is 100% correct - but I'm sure that Sly of the Underworld on 3AW once said that if you look closely at the footage of celebrations out on the ground after the 1987 premiership you can see a person out there who wasn't a player or team official but was allowed onto the ground and 'inner sanctum'. That person .... Mark Moran !

Any know if this is true - may have been the '95 flag ?

Wasnt Leo the father of Judith Moran?

Did the blues also lend to the Morans a premiership fl;ag for one of their funerals, only to never get it back?

In the 1987 celebrations two of my brothers mates snuck onto the ground and were at the bottom left hand side of the podium. They were there from memory for most of the celebrations and I think one of them even shook Bob Hawkes hand (I am pretty sure Hawke was there to present the cup??).

None of them were the Morans, but the guy who shook the hand of Hawke did play in a flag at Brunswick U/18's (VFA) with my brother and Tony Mokbels brother Horty in 1982.
