Despite the fact I didn't improve my rank, I am happy with where my team is sitting. Still got 3 mid pricers on field in Daniel, McKercher and Mills, but one of these will be upgraded this week.

I had all rookies off field by R13, which allowed me to start sideways trading. Some worked out, some didn't.

I've loaded up on Western Bulldog's players for their run home. It didn't work out this week, despite them winning, which made me slide in rank, but I expect to make the ground up this week against a banged up North off a 5 day break.

TLDR: Very successful bye rounds but could've been even better if I went Caldwell over Merrett in RD12, and if Walsh had stayed fit...

(midpricers/non-keepers : Bergman, Mills, Helmet, Rank, Long, Kerch, Darcy...some of them I thought were keepers in rd 11 but I was naive then, they are frauds)

Will switch one of these frauds for McCarthy on field (most likely Helmet), and he needs to upgrade himself with his own cash gen when he gets cooked.

The 6 remaining frauds will need to be progressively upgraded, starting with spuds Long and Rankine. I have bench cash in Helmet, Cleary, Stone, ZJohnson and Simpson + current bank of 33k to upgrade these 6 frauds.

Started at 2661 and ended at 3821 - Despite having no less than 21 a week.

Frauds remaining: Mills/Bolton
Mid-pricers remaining: Colby/Doch
Rookies on field remaining: McCarthy

Bolton goes to Darcy or Macrae this week

Started 933, finished 650.

Whit concussion torpedoed my progress a bit and I shoud have covered Naicos last week rather than saving coin for two upgrades this week. I'm going to run McCarthy at D6/M8 until he breaks in order to top up on ceiling players. My forward line is complete now with top 6 less Jackson. Think I'll continue to take him on at his price (for better or worse) and look to upgrade my mids/def with guys who can go 130 on any given week.

Held Gawn through the byes, have to hope he comes back with a bang after this tough run. Contemplating Xerri > Marshall soon.

Not the best bye rounds for me, but I have no rookies left on field which is a huge achievement, because last year, this didn't happen until round 22 or later. I have had to compromise my team with not picking top premos and going with mid-pricers, but now we have 8 rounds for sideways trades and slight upgrades.
