I did so much work around the house today and did heaps of my own work yesterday.

Crap weekend football wise.

Good start with Melbourne beating Essendon but I wasted a whole afternoon watching Fremantle on the premise of them looking like beating Hawthorn.

Got sucked into the Port Adelaide game aswell until I realised that I was a sucker who was trying to compensate for the fact we were not playing.

Plenty of Yawnfests - StKilda-Collingwood,Kangas-Crows,Sydney Brisbane.

You are right about the Hawthorn game but I havent given up on Essendon being one of the sides that will create an opening in the eight.

There would be something sweeter about replacing them.

We are effectively 2 games behind them.

Dont worry about Port Adelaide looking good. We WILL be consigned some time this year to watching them and trying to figure out how the hell we lost to them.

Im failing to see the relevance of your critique of my, admittedly, pathetic thread, to either the frustrations created by having a Bye, or getting thru the off-season.

Im well aware of my hypocracy in moaning about lame threads and then starting one!

A thread on the CoBurgers beating the filth's 2nds wouldve given me summat to read, but alas thereseems to be none.

? Next year with even no teams are we going back to split round / break ??

oh and I went out all day even tho I dont get a pension, but admittedly pretty sad being home on a Sunday night posting on a footy website!

sure there's stuff all footy to talk about this week with half our players going on short trips or going home to see family but we all have similar interests and we can have a laugh

great to see coburg win again though, great stuff
