Ok lads and ladies I have a dilemma.

Firstly I can't believe I'm actually asking this here but the web offers nothing at all.

I have a Sharp EL735s and am having a few problems using the bloodly thing.

Can anyone tell me how to do a negative to the power of eg 11 -11 (power of)

Also when putting in the numbers for PV PMT FV etc what is the sequence and correct way for entering the details. Do you go Pv=1 x/+ FV =300? an so on.

I am so lost my mate gave me his finance calculator and he has no manual

I'd put the -11 in brackets, ie: x^(-11) (but I've never used that calculator).

Thanks for that mate that guide loks like it will help. Not sure bout the CFi part though?

I can't find a manual or an image large enough to see the buttons and all of the 2nd functions.

I can't remember maths very well but isn't 2^-3 the same as 2^1/3? or something like that?

Nah mate.

2^-3 = 1/(2^3)

Having a negative sign in the exponent simply moves you between the numerator and denominator.

2^1/3 is taking the cube root of 3. For interest's sake, anything to the power 1/2 is taking the square root of it.

I see. In this case what would it be

2.25(1-(1.01845)-11(power)/0.01845)
